Will be a demolition job. Port at home with the midfield they have and form they're in will run all over the top of us. Expect it to be a similar start to the game in Geelong this year, only we won't be able to fight back and make it close this time.

No way our midfield can compete against theirs in a final. We're relying on an old Dangerfield and a defender to be competitive in the midfield.

There are two incredibly important records to keep in mind going into this game:

  • Geelong have never won a finals match in SA at either footy park OR Adelaode Oval
BUT...
  • Under Ken Hinkley, Port Adelaide have never beaten a team in the finals that they have already won against earlier in the year (Excluding his first final against Collingwood in 2013)
At least one of these records will be broken next Thursday Night.

We have a healthy midfield for the first time since the early rounds of the season (1-7).
I do not expect them to beat Port's midfield but it does mean Stewart can spend majority of the game in his best suited position.

Its only considered a choke if you go out in straight sets or you are the clear cut favorite. Geelong has the 2022 flag in the books.. so losing to port wont be a choke.. if port lose, well.. it would be a massive choke as they are the flag favs
Funny how the only people saying we are flag favs are crom fans.

who out of your best 22 is missing at the moment?
Cam Guthrie- been missing for 2 seasons- but 2x B&F, and a 2-way running mid with great skills.
Hawkins- injured, retired now, and way past his best.

if he plays

Winner makes the GF. Can't see either side losing a home PF against what's on the other side of the draw.
Loser faces the abyss.
Tend to agree, but you can make an argument for EVERY one of the top 8 teams to have a big chance.
Each team has had a period of dominance.
Hawks, Port and Dogs recently, Swans and us early on, GWS pretty consistent, Blues were top 2 for a while, Lions won many in a row...

Do you know something we don't?
All indications are it was precautionary and the coach is confident he'll be right to go.

De Koning is the one you missed. Not sure he's ready to come back next week.
assumed DEK is available

Will believe Stewart and Humphries when I see it.

think power will over come there finals wobbles and win this with comfort.
JHF will stamp his mark on the game.
power by 25p
