What's with crappy salty tears retorts by Bombers supporters?

You've blown this year. It's been a complete waste. It doesn't matter who people support you've got to see that.

A below crap win against us doesn't change that.
This is you. You're all salt

Good win for the Bombres - were better than us for the majority of the game.

Loved McDonald-tipungwuti’s game. That bloke just doesn’t give up.

Happy with our effort. Another game into the kids.

I thought Freo's defense was really solid against the huge number of inside 50s and they rebounded well. I've rated Pearce for a while, he's just an impressive player but the whole unit just seems to work well. Freo's midfield was undermanned and they got belted in there. Hard to read much into it.

Our ball winning was great, our decision making going into forward 50 continues to be an issue and key turnovers really killed us. Goal kicking was poor from us but also we weren't exactly creating the highest % shots with a great system moving it forward. Happy to get the win regardless.

It keeps the finals dream alive no matter how slim.

Probably the second most flattering losing margin to an AFL club this year. The first? The same club that lost to Melbourne in Darwin two weeks ago.

No coincidence.

Despite this, Fremantle did well with the quality players they had out of their side. We had quite a number out as well (plus losing McKernan early) but the Dockers had greater quality not on the park.

Our games over the last two weeks (Gold Coast away & Fremantle at home) are the types of games we would’ve lost in recent times in similar circumstances. The fact we’ve played relatively poorly during parts in both and still won has been a positive. But we will need to improve significantly to challenge Sydney next week.

Being a bog average team probably hurt more
Reading through this thread, and there’s usually one on these game threads, but you have had an epic meltdown.

Drug reference is usually a sign of a painful loss and level of sookiness and you’ve had about five separate references. Plus over half dozen of how bog we are, even though we pretty much dominated.

Extraordinary

Anyway five goal win in the end, should have been a lot more. 60 more possessions, 62-36 inside 50s, 22-10 mark inside 50s despite losing key forward for three quarters. Easily won clearances.
Second game in a row we've played freo at Etihad and looked terrible winning

Our forward line needs serious work.

Lol cheating is just Essendon’s legacy now, get used to it.

You are average. 11th on the ladder and only a very minor finals chance. That’s ordinary in my eyes.

Anyways, good game. Onto next week.

... and at least neither of our teams are Carlton!

Complete waste? Hm, I think we've had plenty of positives this year. Our inside midfield has improved dramatically, we were 14th in clearance differential last year and now have moved to 3rd in that area this year. Langford has improved drastically, Saad and Smith have made us a more dynamic and also a stronger defensive side whilst Stringer has proven to be a good forward who can have an influence in the middle, McKernan's drastic improvement (as shocked as I am at it), all whilst we've had top 10 and likely top 5 players miss significant time on the sidelines (Daniher missed 10, Fantasia 7, McKenna 4 (borderline top 10)). Sure we haven't had the ideal year but we've found things out.
