Can it get any worse...

"Scans have revealed a fracture in Tom Lynch's right foot."

Serious, season is shot we overrated ourselves. We really are not good enough time to watch the kids.
We lose by 5p and season is shot , strong opinion , what are they worse than GC in first year or something , we had 7 players <25 games , did you expect them to be at triple premiership qty already , get a grip man that’s tripe

Wouldn’t Jack just replace him?
Thinking along the lines of the chances of being a genuine premiership threat may well be gone depending on how long Lynch is out. Jack will no doubt come back in, but he is far from threat he was at his peak given he has seemingly lost a step or 2 and his leap isn't the same as it was either. So lets take the opportunity to focus on the kids and see where things end up. If we end up being in contention by time Lynch returns then it's a bonus, if not but the likes of Ryan Cumberland Clarke Hugo Sonsie and Young continue to develop then the season can still be somewhat of a success.

We’ve had stars miss plenty of footy in premiership years. One player out doesn’t change much. I doubt the club will be packing it in at Round 4.

Lynch’s eyes never left the ball. He’d mistimed his lead and the ball was sailing over his head. That’s why his arms were not up and going for the mark, it was well over his head. At the same time he realises the ball is out of reach, his peripheral vision picks up Keath coming from front on so he braces for contact. Never looked at Keath, and didn’t go for the mark as it was out of reach.

So I am very interested to know what his alternative was? Don’t brace for contact? Put your arms up for a ball a foot over your outstretched arms and leave yourself open to have your ribs caved in?

So if you hear anyone in the media say ‘he has to go’, make sure you hear what they believe his alternative was, in the split second between realising he’d mistime his lead and the ball was out of reach and Keath was about to launch into him from front on.
