I think maybe it's more that people still don't rate Adelaide. They came within a whisker of beating the best team in the comp last week.

Not good enough by us. Adelaide are good but we should not have been blown away like that today. It's entirely on our lack of leadership. Wardlaw NEVER gives up. So called leaders need to take note.

I don’t anyone is being particularly targeting Phillips. His lack of pace is a major concern.
His lack of penetration by foot is also a concern.

He is good in close. His lack of ability to spread is a massive problem.

Thought the game before half time was pretty decent. We dominated periods, usual skill errors which give me aids. We kept the same structure knto half time and 3rd Q (KISS Method), Filthy adelaide mutts changed up their entire structure and we did not adjust fast enough or we are still in “simple” mode and aren’t changing at the fly. Ratts did make changes, damage was done but the momentum did shift back to 50/50.

However the continued turnover with no pressure and goals against from these turnovers cost us from being 3-4 goals in front at half time.

I can absolutely guarantee the Logue + McKay combo will function more than fine by getting CORR MCDONALD and Ziebell out of the team. Permanently.

I don't understand why our club has a different set of standards and does not drop players for poor form. It's unbelievable.

I will blow a gasket and fist my own ass to death if MCDONALD/CORR/ZIEBELL do not get dropped or moved out of that fuu**king backline.

It's clearly not working. It's just going to slow up our development for 2024. Put Ziebell at half forward. Drop CORR and MCDONALD, they're liabilities. Give Dawson a run of 4 games. Shambles he hasn't had a look in. He can't be any worse.

Played ten minutes of decent football and that’s it.

Not going to single out individuals on the negative side, but I think the review will be very unkind to a few. Especially some senior players.

- No surprises LDU was at the forefront when we got going in the second. Clearly lacks a bit of conditioning and confidence in the string to really break it apart, but he’s something else.

- I’m so thankful for Wardlaw and Sheezel. But how much of an indictment on the rest of the team is it that two 18/19 year olds are our best players (minus a couple others)?

- We have to be on record pace for having the most uncontested marks taken on us in our d50.

- it must be so easy to play against North. Just wait for the inevitable back half turnover then sprint forward for your lick of the ice cream.

Clearly, we were not able to maintain the rage to the same extent as Adelaide. We’ll get there. Let’s face it, we can’t go forecasting a 100 point loss before the game and then throw the toys out of the cot because we lose by 66, can we? Up until red time in Q2, our pressure was off the charts. We were unlucky not to be in front. However, Adelaide are a much more mature unit than us. Once we, inevitably, ran out of puff, we got monstered.

Phillips had at least three turnovers going inside 50 that led to opposition goals.

Its just frustrating that a clueless dumb campaigner like me could clearly see during the week that we need to get some pace into the backline to play Adelaide, yet we line up with slow, mid-sized defenders like Ziebell, Corr and McDonald.

You'd be better off with worse players who can actually run and get to the right spots when they need to be.

Who was forecasting that? All most wanted was the effort we have seen for the past month. I personally was expecting a 40 point loss.

I'm furious because the club continue to select spuds who underperform or outright obviously aren't up to top level footy and gaslight the supporters like nothing is wrong with it

I respect the analysis, but I fundamentally disagree with it everytime I see it. Ziebell, Shiels (who we rookied for free), Goldstein (approaching, if not falling down the cliff) and McDonald make up the >150 games players. Aside from Goldstein, these players have been the long-term problem with our list.

Are Adelaides Walker, Sloan, Laird and Smith ...

That comparison says a fair bit ...
