Watching Switkowski in post mortem replays, he does quite a lot, almost plays more mid than forward.

Jackson probably is running with the biggest gap between his ceiling and actual performance out of anyone. If he could manage to substantially narrow that gap it'd make a huge difference to the team.

Yeah he seemed to have more genuine effort today but he’s still fumbling the ball , dropping marks making poor decisions, not hitting scoreboard enough
All things he’s definitely capable of

For the elite talent we know he is he just has to do better then merely give us “effort”

He doesn't get to the contest with Hogan and wouldn't have gotten to half the others Banners did. Banners was sloppy today, and deserves fair criticism. Walters struggles to get to ground balls. As as crumbing forward who has lost his pace that isn't a good thing.

He may get a send off game next week, legend of the club.

We went down 3 goals and I was thinking standard.
We fought hard, but I still thought we won’t win.
I accepted our loss mid way through the 3rd.
Then we started to show signs. I still didn’t believe.
Then we got within a goal and were running free.

With about 4 mins remaining I though ‘we could pinch this’

Then Banfield gave away a 50m goal.

Freo got me again.

Yes but statistically you are asking the team to be much more accurate than normal to win a game, that makes no sense.

i.e. we were already more accurate than them 58% to 64& so more accuracy isnt the way to win the game. They had 26 shots from 51 entries (51%), we had 22 from 55 (40%), there is a much bigger problem, and an actual way the game could have been won.

Ultimately they smashed us in the tackle count, had more marks and possessions , had more territory and control with ball in hand, while we were under pressure more when we had it in hand.

A lot of the time in these close losses the scoreboard actually flatters us from accurate goal kicking.
