Some of the poorest supporters of the Carlton Football Club have put more money into the club than the Pratts.

I know for a fact they used to frame all their 'donations' to the club exactly to 'contracts' through visy and other subs that gave the same amount of money back.

Powerbroking, pure and simple. What has held us back rather than help us.

We have overlords who put NOTHING into the club and expect ALL the power. You wonder why we have been crap for 20 years? I present to you exhibit A, the Pratts and Mathesons who give nothing and expect everything.

Apologies if something similar has already been said but this has the Judd deal written all over it. I guarantee you Pratts and Mathieson will be saying dont worry about just the contract in front of you its about what we can do for you after footy which will last a life time. Having power brokers at the club isnt always a bad thing.

Judd didn't leave WCE for money.

He'd have made plenty more staying in Perth and the deal with Carlton was as much to do with how much compensation CFC could pay WCE (he didn't want them left in the shit) as any money he could make. It is in the compensation that can be paid that this deal is most like the Judd to Carlton deal.

BTW, didn't one of these super businessmen end up losing Judd around $500k in a botched deal?
