Like I've said many times before, the only people who place any credence in history and previous 'culture' (1 flag, numerous spoons, dwarf burning etc) are fans. Players couldn't give a **** if the club has only won a flag in the 60's, its about the now. The cash is there, the club facilities will be brand new etc.

Its a nice theory if one cares for such ideas, but in reality is not true at all. We won a stack of premierships with both rich and poor supporters. Coteries and ordinary members and pay at the gate monies. It all has its place. I don't even know what the point of this sort of conspiracy theory is. Should people with money be barred from supporting Carlton? Will that bring the next sucess?

Tell that to the supporters of Chelsea or Man U etc..Powerbrokers give them sucess.
