The way MS3 worded that says we aren't unhappy with him. It would have to be for someone very good.

Fisher smacks more of Navy Blue than SPS right now.
I'm glad we're keeping options open, than being blinded.

There's nothing to say we'd get rid of him and something good may yet come about for for it all.
We have a few players that have to learn the hard way and on the weight of 2018, SPS is one of them.

What's Fisher got to do with this?

Shiel’s preference is Hawks . His father in law a big factor. His management concerned a deal won’t get done between Hawks-GWS, hence no announcement and limbo. GWS want to deal with us. Connors playing it well as can be expected.

We are in this up to our ears & there is plenty to play out.

Blues are way ahead of where the media & other clubs want us to be. The fact we are in play for Shiel et al this late in the stage scares the shit out of plenty of others.

There are statements to be made to the football world. If we secure Shiel, even for overs, we are protecting Cripps and providing insurance for his future at the Blues.

Will be an interesting and perhaps controversial trade period.

1) Hawthorn and Carlton are still line ball on Shiel, but
2) we are extremely confident about Setterfield. Super confident

Yeah I reckon he's going to be an excellent player. But you have to be ruthless if you want flags. Seems like SOS is, and as shitty as it would be for fans IF a favourite ended up switching colours, I'm sure we'll all console ourselves by wiping the tears away with a shiny new flag...

I believe he did.

I've still got a lot of hope for SPS, hasn't had a full preseason yet and has still managed to show a decent amount in 2 seasons... plus he seems to fit in real well to the playing group, and is committed to the long term vision of the club. If Brisbane are asking about him, they would have to pay at least what we paid for him, which I can't see them wanting to do, so Brisbane can keep walking.

Neale -> Brisbane
SPS + Pick 22 (Brisbane) -> Fremantle
Pick 4 -> Us?

Fisher was in the same draft as SPS and even though being a later selection, has given more of himself and performed better.

Anyway and in simple terms, I'd be shocked should we be looking at options of moving Fisher on......not so much SPS

I fully expect the WA clubs to come knocking for Fisher one day, but certainly hadn't expected to be inviting offers for any of our young midfielders at this stage of the rebuild. Doesn't make sense to me unless (a) Samo wants out for geographic/family reasons, or (b) SOS has something in particular in mind already.

Putting him on the table could also be a ploy to perhaps motivate him in some way... but that's a dangerous tactic, and SPS doesn't seem to be the sort of lad that would need to be 'inspired' in this manner.

I'm sure SOS has a 'price' for almost everyone on the list - but welcoming offers is another thing entirely. Strange indeed.
