Treloar is pretty much a Collingwood player, I heard that from a family member. would love him at Blues.

Any rumours about Yarran being traded?

They would probably have room once Johnson, Enright, Kelly, Lonergan, Mackie etc all move on and there seems to be a school of thought about Motlop moving on elsewhere for more money also cant see Hamish McIntosh being around for much longer.

Wont get rid of them all at once but could see enough finish up to create cap space for 2 decent recruits next year.

They also delisted Taylor Hunt last year and gave away Allen Christensen & Travis Varcoe which would of saved some money last year.
I wonder how their better players feel about their contracts being less than the imports who have not brought premiership glory to the club, yet by virtue of being FA get paid their market value rather than the "keep the list together" price.

They will end up losing some mid tier player Swans style once that happens. That can offset the gains if your bottom 6 becomes too weak.

Yep and I wonder what impact players like Dale Thomas coming into Carlton has on others, then the impact Betts going to Adelaide has as well (may cost them Dangerfield)....

FA is just a mess that the AFLPA has created to get players overpaid and/or the stronger clubs remain stronger for longer.

FA is counter productive to what the purpose of the National Draft was introduced for.

McEvoy? Barely plays. Gawn looks likely but is still young, hardly ahead of Kreuzer yet.
McEvoy has always been a great mark and can swing back and forward with success. And as others have alluded to there is also Stefan Martin, Maric, and I'll also add Brodie Grundy who at present is also better than Kreuzer. I love Kreuzer but honestly evaluating him against his positional peers he wouldn't be the ruckman a lot of teams will be hoping to get... Considering even we are looking at more rookie-Ing ruckman ourselves.

I'm sorry but it's the harsh reality.... If Kreuzer was available to us via free agency would you want us to pay him 500k+ on a 4 year deal to secure him based on his last 3 years?

Kruez comes with a large price tag, when clubs could potentially grab Zac Smith for a lot cheaper. I rate Kruez higher than Zac Smith but Smith ain't no spud.

It could be worse, you could have Bellchambers....

YES!!! Because you are buying the next 4 hopefully awesome years at his physical peak. He will be the #1 ruck man if he keeps on the field and sandilands declines.

I have heard we have inquired into Hayden Crozier & have also heard Yarran would not be against a move back to WA. Would a trade of Yarran to Freo for Crozier & their first round pick be around the mark?

I quite like Crozier.

Can't get a look in in Lyons team because he's not a tackling machine and Walters and Ballantyne are ahead of him but he is a quality small forward.

Can roll through the midfield, but is pretty light. Has excellent kicking skills, EXCELLENT.

His name has been mentioned a few times and it will be interesting to see what happens with him at the end of the season.

I think he is out of contract at the end of this year and being a Victorian he may be tempted to return to his home state. Had a very good second half to 2014 but has not carried that through to this season and has not had a consistent run at senior level in 2015. The lure of greater senior opportunities elsewhere may be too compelling to pass up.

There is plenty to like about Hayden but at the same time there is something that is just lacking in his game. I would be happy to bring him across but I am not completely convinced by him at this stage.

On the plus side he has beautiful skills and his hands are some of the best I have seen in a young player. Has very sticky hands whether it be on the lead or in a contested situation. Presents well and if the kick to him is a good one he'll take the grab far more often than not.

The downside? I'm not sure where he fits. Is he a forward? Is he a midfielder? As a forward he doesn't hit the scoreboard enough nor does he apply enough defensive pressure. As a midfielder whilst he uses the ball beautifully he just does not find enough of it. He's neither here nor there at this stage and he needs to nail down a position to ensure he proves he belongs at AFL level.

He's not there yet but he does have enough talent for interest to be there. At 21 he obviously has a long career ahead of him if he is good enough and he certainly has the talent to make it at AFL level.

In an ideal world I don't want to lose Yarran unless a deal was presented that was too good to refuse. Crozier and a first round pick would be enough for me to pull the trigger on a deal.

Ryder went for #17 and #37 and we will be needed our late 30s pick for f/s bidding.

The one advantage we have is #2 in the PSD ... if not #1 when it all comes out in the wash. Some leverage there, especially if Lions spend up big on Dixon.

I'm willing to forgo trading entirely, force him in the PSD and take our chances. Only risk is that he gets picked up at #1 in the PSD. Which is highly unlikely that Brisbane/ GCS will force a bloke to move to QLD against his will (unless he agrees to the move), particualarly one that can put a price on his head, and will quite probably be sitting out 2016 at least anyways.

It screws Essendon over, but **** them. But for the ASADA thing, I'd have no hesitation to trade for Carlisle. Besides, that's what the PSD is for.

I'd be 'shocked to be sitting here' if Carlisle and his management think it a good idea for him to move via the PSD.

The repercussions for all concerned, could/would, come back to bite.

What repercussions? Bad PR?

The look upon the manager wouldn't be favourbale.
The CFC conspiring for such an event to come about would be looked at by the AFL.
Things have changed a lot in recent times and tampering of any sort would warrant a close look at.

It may happen as anything may happen, but I can't see how it would be allowed to happen.

Nothing to apologise about - everyone is entitled to an opinion - even if they are wrong wrong wrong;)

Essendon only have themselves to blame if a) players want to leave because of the events of the past few years and b) clubs are reluctant to trade anything of value for players who may be facing extended stints on the sidelines. I'd be far more inclined to trade for him if this ASADA thing wasnt hanging over his head.

And **** Essendon. They choose to dope their players, they reduced his trade value, they forced him out the door. If they have an issue with it, they can look to themselves for answers.

Sure, but the way that Dodoro trades makes normal dealing difficult at the best of times.

They'll want more than we can offer, and if Carlisle wants to go....and cant, then I wont be shocked if he walks. I'd expect a similar situation to Ryder.

Are you still high from your weekend??? Natanui is by far the best ruckman, centre square hit outs to advantage he is king as well as around the ground! Its not how many, its how many directly advantaged my team!

Dodoro and the EFC have lost their perceived powers to do much at all.
As with Crameri and Ryder, they'll have to take unders and not overs, to get a deal done.

Interesting hearing Hird on the weekend say that Essendon isn't an appealing place for players to come to right now.
May be the most honest thing he's said for a long time. Had to give him credit for saying so.
