AFLW 2024 - Round 9 - Indigenous Round - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
I don't think anybody has suggested a 4th round draft pick. I think that Carlton will simply accept the best offer they can get. Whatever that may be.Even the football media surely aren't so dumb as to expect the club to take a 4th round pick (or less) in exchange for the reigning Coleman medallist on $700K.
Of course it does. Carlton won't want a player that doesn't want to stay that has also caused many problems. Surely Carlton also realises that it was only two years ago when they went through the Chris Judd trade and how it's best to help a player move to a new club.Does fev's desire to stay or go have an impact on the trade? Does he have a choice?
They hate himI think the only option would be Port.. If the hawks trade their 1st round pick for SB, that means port adelaide can get him with two first round pick 8 and 9..
Would the Blues be happy with that?

He accosted various guests, including Chris Judd and the captain's partner Rebecca Twigley, knocked a beer out of the hand of Western Bulldogs star Adam Cooney and vomited.
That's the Age and the Sun now who have said he knocked it out of Cooney's hand but the Footy show footage clearly shows the exact opposite with Cooney knocking Fev's beer out of his hand.. WTF?
Some of Fevolas current contract won't be under the cap once he becoems a veteranI
I've read somewhere, (can't remember exactly) that next year Fev was eligible for a spot on our veteran's list - half his salary not under the cap - but I'm too sure on this cos he won't be 30 yet. However, if this he is eligible does that mean he can go on other club's veterans' lists??
.
thats great valueTen news said there is already betting available to pick which club Fev will end up next year. With Blues at 2nd favourite at $6.. I'm definitely putting a bet on Fev staying!
ok, first up i hope we dont get a suitable trade. But if we do i dont think we should let him go for anything less than....
A top 10 draft pick.
plus a proven midrange player (Josh Kennedy???).
plus a youngster that we can develop.
Anything less and he should stay.
this is just wrong Carlton should be ashamed of them-self help the guy don't kick him when he is down. also the club and the footy show should take some of this on there shoulders as well as the crown casino. would we be in this spot if the club had asked Brendon to leave before it got this far .would we be in this spot if the footy show didn't ask him to do street talk and not take the mic of him when they knew he had been drinking. would we(Carlton supporters) be in this spot if the crown would follow responsible service of alcohol i think not
While you're probably right, he's also one of the rare players in the league who could come to a club like Pies or Dogs and turn them from a top 4 team to a premier. This is exactly why Carlton will 'reluctantly' keep Fevola.
No club will give up a top 10 pick for a 29yr old KPP with off field issues.
Realistically clubs could offer pick 10-20 and a quality young player to develop. Which of course won't be good enough for Carlton so Fev stays and they try to spin it how they have been really tough on him.
