Game plan + New Coaches >>>>>>>>> Cameron/Cox.
Only a fool would think otherwise.

Are you saying Grundy wasn’t listening to the coaches in the first 6 rounds. And once Cameron and Cox got together they have adhered to the game plan better. Ipso facto with an 11-0 record. Makes Cameron and Cox >>>> Grundy. As they work better with the new game plan.

Here’s an idea - maybe the game plan has developed as the year has gone on. Particularly in defence.

“They’re the combination that have taken us to 11-0”.

An awful lot of credit you’re giving to them.

I’m sorry, did I miss the game that Cameron and Cox didn’t play in that 11-0 record. Just stating the fact that those boys have played in all the 11 wins.

Why are you so negative to these boys. They’ve done nothing but help us win those games. Show some respect. They are part of the group that will give us a finals crack this year. Not Grundy The Unavailable.

You having the audacity to accuse someone of being disrespectful to a player is absurd. Practice what you preach, troll

Game Plan and Fly are overwhelming the reasons for our success. Cox and Cameron have done well but it’s absurd to credit their contributions as exceeding that of the former.
So what you are saying is that game plan and Fly is more important than the quality of our ruckman.

Logically then, you shouldn’t be paying a fortune for a ruckman if their overall contribution is only marginal to team success.

That is the point many are making that some can’t seem to grasp.

LOL’S….

I don’t know how much more that I can be part of these discussions. I’ve read everything from every poster over the past 4/5 months. And replied or posted my own comments throughout.

The post is relevant as it goes straight to the crux of your problem with the Cameron and Cox combination. And the dismissive nature you have to their relevance in Fly’s game plan.

No just exposing your hypocrisy for what it is. You want to call me a troll, because expose the negative aspects of what Grungy does during our games. And yet, in the same breath you won’t acknowledge the benefits that Cameron and Cox have brought to Fly’s new game plan. During an 11-0 run in the same season.

I’m no historian, but I’m not too sure how often we’ve been on an 11-0 run as Collingwood supporters. So it’s an extraordinary effort from all involved. And should be respected as such. All those who have been involved have brought us to this point.

100% agree gouki is not showing any respect to Cameron and Cox at all very offensive.

There will be a metamorphosis from within, and suddenly his kicking foot and punching fist will discover an accuracy they have never known, while his arms will rise and clutch the ball like no other ruckman before him. A new club will rejuvenate him, sweeping away the bookish looks and replacing them with a steely grimness borne of a new found desire to define his life with premierships. And we will pay $300000 a year x 5 to witness this transformation.

Please cite posts where I don’t do this.

I’ve actively posted about the strengths of this duo (namely, overhead marking and hitting the scoreboard). There’s a bit more to the game than that though.

Not sure how much attention you’ve been paying, but despite winning 11 in a row we have massive areas of improvement - especially in the middle. Fly acknowledges as much too, yet you seem incapable of it

We can only hope you will move on from the discussion.

*Edit - no one has a problem with the Cameron & Cox combination. All Collingwood supporters want it to contribute to winning the flag.

I think the most interesting aspect of the situation is that two of our most high profile players have divided the supporter group quite sharply.

From my perspective that's quite significant.
I wouldn’t say a few random posters represents a division. The majority of Collingwood supporters would want both De Goey and Grundy in black & white next year.

You need to convince Fly - who believes we’ll be better with Grundy.
That’s the point the anti Grundy crew can’t stomach.

Fly is hardly going to come out and say nah we don’t need him we’ve being do just fine thanks.
Edit: Not meant to question Fly’s integrity btw.

Fact: in explaining our success:
Game Plan and Coaches>>>>>>>> that Cox/Cameron combo.
It’s not that hard mate.

I've been around a bloody long time jmac and have been a people watcher all my life and I can tell you dead set straight . .

The majority are overrated . . .

And vastly overrated at that.

I think it was pretty evident that Fly wanted him to come back into the team as soon as he was able to run out a whole game (which obviously never happened). He outwardly claims to be honest in his media dealings, and I've seen nothing to indicate otherwise

I’m not anti Grundy btw No SPIN , provided he adapts to our game plan.
His one outing in the VFL didn’t fill me with confidence though.
Let’s assume the rumours are true that he was asked to take a pay cut.
That would’ve been positioned along the lines of helping us recruit players with a view to winning a flag.
If he said no it‘s not a good look, particularly if others have agreed to it.
Even worse if others agreed to a cut in order to keep him at the Club.
All conjecture I know.
However, we need to get our head around the fact he won’t be at the Club next year if a suitable trade can be arranged.
