Can He win three?

Will get harder the more other players drag votes off him, perhaps he should go play with Melbourne. :p

Selwood would probably have won without SJ around, the 3-2-1 system is a bit brutal.

I always thought Bartel was a bit lucky to have beaten him in 2007. It's possible for him to win another one though. Especially if the GCS are winning 10-14 games over the next 3 years. I hope he does because he is just a real champion of the game. Equal to the great players of the past that have iconic status in the game.

He can, but so many things have to go right. You need to be injury free, win enough games (shouldn't be a problem now) and have a good run with form.

Even then you need luck. The best player doesn't always win it (see his previous Brownlow results). You need to be lucky and get the 3 votes and not the 2 votes when you and some other bloke are basically equal BOG. Then sneak a couple of 1 votes when the vote could be handed out to a number of players on the ground.

It's definitely possible, but if you are betting him against the field for the next two years (when he is likely to remain clearly the best player in the game), I'm taking the field.

OK so still no thread about who his GF reminds you off? Haven't checked the forums thoroughly enough but bugger me if she isn't Lauren Phillips sister

Dicking about aside, what a champion. Still remember bagging him during their first game against us. He has served up so much humble pie to the sceptics that I could not possibly take another bite.

Could he win three? Pfft EASY.

Think we just saw the last Brownlow won by a player not named Nat fyfe for quite a few years
once Freo get respect and profile, and the umpires start to recognise NF, yeaah, he will win brownlows plural. Freo has underrated east coast stars n champions like pavlic and sandilands, but once everyone realises fyfe stands head to head with Ablett and Roughead and Pendles as the best player in the league, watch the votes start flowing

Meaningless...

It's actually quite sad to see Ablett sitting there nervously, sweating, teeth clenched and so desperate for Brownlow glory. It's pathetic really.

If he stayed at Geelong, he'd probably be leading them to a premiership in 2013

He says over and over about making the finals next year with Gold Coast, but it's hollow words.
It's quite obvious he is playing for personal glory and this is what motivates him

It's quite sad to see such a talented footballer lose sight of what football is really about.

People say he was the best footballer this year, maybe of all time, but I don't rate him. He's just a kick-chasing glory-seeker playing for a crap team. His individual awards are completely meaningless.
