I said Walsh had a fantastic run for about half a season's worth of games and has dropped off since. This, by the way, is also a consensus view among Carlton supporters.

Murphy played about 80 games more than he should have. You wanted him gone for years Worm but they kept picking him because the rest of your list was trash at the time.
Gibbs was Jack Watts MK2, Kruezer was a bog average plodder. Walsh is a stat collector with no hurt factor who can't kick.
The only pick you got right was Weitering.

Walsh is a classic case of number one draft pick syndrome. Every good thing he does is amplified to the multiple ten by the media. And his deficiencies are swept under the carpet. Additionally, he has the good fortune of playing alongside a genuine star, who further masks his deficiencies. Would you rely on Walsh to pick up your entire team and carry them over the line as Cripps did last week? No way in hell. He reminds me of a Tim Taranto

A bit of perspective please. Playing 300 games for the Blues during that period is the equivalent of a career of roughly 80 games for a top club like the Pies. Playing 200 games at the Blues is worth around 50 games at the Pies.
