None of The Age writers believe we will finish below 7th. MOst are calling 6thto 7th and one as high as 5th.

Apparently we are 13th for goalkicking accuracy this year. Not good at all. We need to improve that in the next 2 weeks leading into the finals that we're still not assured of....

Again somehow it's our defence that we've identified as a weakness to improve upon next year. All i can say is we're going to be scarily good next year.

I think if all results go as expected (except for the crows beating port in the showdown) we'll finish 6th with Port in 7th. Realistic chance to happen.

I'm going to keep it low as we still have to win both games by fair amount to out a distance between us and Carlton

Just hope Essendon lose tonight, Carlton lose by 5 goals on Sunday while we beat Richmond by 80+. Would pretty much lock finals in by Sunday.

If i'm not mistaken percentage doesnt matter for us because GWS and Fremantle play eachother.
The only thing that matters is beating richmond and north.

Get the 8 points and we're guaranteed to make finals.

If Carlton win both at a greater margin than us, we're in strife.

Freo or Dogs lose to GWS and all we have to do is win both games by no more than a point.

If Freo and Dogs both beat GWS, then we can probably jump GWS on percentage.

We don't necessarily even need to worry about what Carlton does.

Everyone else can be replaced by Carlton if they win both games, as unlikely as that is.

Worst case scenario we miss out on finals by a few percent to either carlton or gws, assuming they smash their competition and we barely win against richmond and north even though it's extremely unlikely
If we win both games the floor is 9th, and the ceiling is 3rd.
If we lose both our ceiling is 7th and our floor is 11th

Just did the ladder predictor again, I can get us as high as third. But it does require St Kilda, WC and North winning both remaining matches and Essendon beating Brisbane.

I think if we beat the Tigers this weekend it's conceivable we will already have locked in our finals spot (given it's a real chance all of the Scum, Blues and Pies lose).

That would be a bit less stress for the last week!

It's almost impossible to see. It's a 23 round season plus finals.

Our game is brutal and to back up season after season, including finals is a huge achievement. We take the opportunity when it comes. What we saw from 13-15 won't be seen again as the pressure on the players is enormous.
