Nearly as salty as BT saying the 3rd quarter was disappointing. Would love it if everyone gave him nothing in his "Roaming Brian" segment after the game.
Or BT wishing for an injury in the last quarter the slime that he is will now pal around the room talking the players he was wishing injury upon

I'm Kolodjashnij's biggest critic but he was in our top 5 players tonight.

Credit where it's due.
He was ranked top 4 on the FIELD tonight (77% time on ground), and only beaten by Blicavs (83% TOG), Hawkins (77% TOG) and Dangerfield (76% TOG).
Amazing Holmes ranked 5th tonight off 56% TOG. Big loss if he doesn't get up for next week.

In case we haven't heard it enough tonight

We are Geelong, the greatest team of all
We are Geelong; we’re always on the ball
We play the game as it should be played
At home or far away
Our banners fly high, from dawn to dark
Down at Kardinia Park

So! Stand up and fight, remember our tradition
Stand up and fight, it’s always our ambition
Throughout the game to fight with all our might
Because we’re the mighty blue and white
And when the ball is bounced, to the final bell
Stand up and fight like hell!

Yup, I said don't play him if injured, he was great. Marked everything, didn't have any Kolo moments despite the pressure early.

9 marks (4 contested), 23 disposals, a couple of i50s, only 2 turnovers, 13 intercepts, and was kicking at 95%.

Jeebus. Should have saved it for next week.

And next week

Hawkins said he was speaking to Holmes on the bench and was not 100% sure how bad the Holmes hammy is and isn't gonna comment. If he was written off for next week, I assume he would have made a "we will put our arms around him as a club" kinda comment.

Plot thickens.

I'm currently at Jolimont waiting for a train to the city and the dude on the PA is nicely pro Geelong, and happily sharing the mic around with commuters to share their excitement over the loud speakers - sounds like some have really enjoyed their nights

Fox reported that Miers was the top ranked player on the ground. ..Paddy 2nd....Close 4th...

Still hoping…. But Selwood did say post game that he gave him a hug and was really sad.

Coming out now that Max has been dealing with back related hamstring issues… so question is whether this is a tear or not. If a tear no hope. If not then be interesting to know whether they risk it. Sad reality is that they have some pretty deserving players as emergency too so they will put club first

Well done Cats. You've built an exceptional list and have developed your later picks magnificently. Also a very well coached team. Too good.

Dangerfield's overhead marking was as good as I've seen for years. Really wound the clock back in that area and it adds so much to his overall game. Massive game.
Yep and Rohan was back to butterfingers Rohan after clunking everything against the pies.

With about 3.5 minutes to go, Selwood was trying to get back in which they finally let him do

After doing his best to get banged up, instructions must have been sent out for him to get away from the action - he spent the final minute on his own around our 50m arc
