AFLW 2024 - Round 6 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Winning next week would really heat things up.5th is amazing considering where the team was a short while ago
Even better with the form of the team improving dramatically
That's got to be one of the best games we've played all season, and to think we're likely going to try and find a way to bring back Tuohy, plus maybe Bews & C. Guthrie injury pending
Other than Mullin, not sure there's any easy or obvious outs
What a good headache to have

Time for Rory to move to the Surf Coast + finish his career with the magnificent + might Cats
as long they lose every other gameIf Richmond can pull their finger out and beat Melbourne in a few weeks that will help immensely.
To put the game to bed, before quarter time, against a so-called contender has rekindled the fire in the faithful and has us knocking on the door of the Top 4.
It was a vulgar display of power.
Early in the week Brad Scott made a point of saying that the Bombers would not be underestimating Gryan Miers and Brad Close, implying that the two smalls might be in for a little extra attention.
Both were superb in the 1st quarter; along with Jack Henry they, as much as anyone, set the tone early on.
Similarly, the ridiculously named Brandon Zerk-Thatcher announced to the media pre-game that he relished a rematch with Tom Hawkins, who absolutely pansted him earlier this year. He should be careful what he wishes for, as the young fool was once again given a football lesson.
Tanner Bruhn's accelerated evolution throughout 2023 couldn't have come at a better time; Bruhn has elevated his output just as our midfield depth was being probed. Bruhn has also gradually revealed himself to be one of our most dual-sided mids this side of Buddha Hocking. His left foot is both an escape hatch and an architect for angle alteration.
Duncan has found some touch and form, thankfully. He is creaky, but he has dug deep in recent weeks.
Isaac Smith looked better for the spell, too.
5 - Mark Blicavs - statistically might not have been as good as some, but his two-way game was irresistible
4 - Gryan Miers - was everywhere in the 1st half; kicked a great goal early on and linked up with creativity all over the ground
3 - Tom Atkins - hard as a cat's head. His work rate is first rate.
2 - Tom Hawkins - reports of his decline have been exaggerated. Sublime forward craft tonight.
1 - Max Holmes - found time and space with quick reactions all night long. Career high disposals tonight.
Imagine hoping Richmond winIf Richmond can pull their finger out and beat Melbourne in a few weeks that will help immensely.
Very important we win next week.
We can only afford to drop the Collingwood game really.
If we lose to brisbane and coll but win all 4 of the other games (which we should) we will make it.
But if we want a home final (although it doesnt matter bc if we finish 8th our 1st final will be in vic anyway unless the crows get to 5th and i doubt they do) then next week becomes crucial.
you know sometimes go into a state of reverie, yesterday I was fantasizing about 'wow it would be nice to get a percentage boost tomorrow'.Gained a lazy 5.2% tonight.
Your mob have a talent for peaking at the right time. Formidable as alwaysThat was fun - all over them.
Bruhn, Tomma, Miers, Atkins .Stewat, BLitz, PFD, SDK, Close all excellent and Holmes too.
Jezza rusty and wil be better for the run.
Mullen ok in his burst
Up to 5th and ready ro keep rolling.
Hope Rohan and Pfd and ok and as ist managed.
4 points big thing - up to 5th.
