Players need at least two weeks off after concussion. Proven yet again. Stewart way below his best.

Clark had some good experience and held up well.

The hype went into overdrive in the media about Cameron this week. He didn't respond to it well last year. Let's hope it's just one bad game this week and he gets back to close to his best next week.

I can hear them laughing from here, but who cares, we're not suited to be media darlings.
Just cannot understand Jezza's 3 kicks for very gettable goals were so atrocious-even lucky to be points.

Blics looked like a ****ed Inspector Gadget -he couldn't even run or bend down in the end.
Duncan playing every bit his age, worse because you cringed when he got the ball-waiting for it.
Defenders all at sea, not in front. Stanley consistent with shiteness. A few umpiring faux pas
Upside Clark, Atkins, Holmes.
Upside home game next, and a rude awakening.

That was actually Melbourne's 3rd game in 23 days - they had the bye a fortnight ago too. Tonight was our 4th game in 20 days.
And Port will also get an extra two days rest on us for the next match.

Atkins was terrible…
If everyone cracked in like Tom Atkins we might’ve come away with something. Jezza kicks those two we win. Not that we deserved to. CS will learn plenty from this so all is not lost. Shan’t be watching the Replay this much I know. Onto Poort.

Harsh; I thought Jack Henry played maybe his best game of the year despite having his hands full.
Wow, interesting take. I think it was one of the most inept performances from a geelong player since we had George burbury in the team.

He got absolutely smashed by petty, who has been one of the AFL's true strugglers this year. Then, down by 2 points, his kick out of 50 is a turn over, and he can't be arsed getting Fritsch out of bounds, who kicks the sealer.

We really missed O’Connor tonight. Parf also

This is one of the risks of managing people. It would have suited Parf tonight with the conditions and the chaotic play. O'Connor's intelligence and unflinching dedication to playing his role would have fixed our structure right up. Danger was big out too of course.

IN: Parfitt, O'Connor, Conway
OUT: Bruhn (inj), Stanley (managed), Duncan (managed)

Kind of realised it wasn't our day early on with all the out of bounds on the full kicks. Still managed to nearly pinch it though.

Not sure what to really make of Jack Henry anymore. He finished 2nd in the BnF in 2021 as a 22-year-old but has just gone backwards. I'm not sure if it's due to the injuries but he seems to have lost a lot of his athleticism and marking power.

In ranking players A to E, Jack Henry gets a Z.

I do not know if it is possible for one player to get more comprehensively smashed in all facets of the game.
He took a risk and it back fired
If it came off he looks like a genius

Can forgive the turnover but definitely should have found the boundary before Fritch goal

11 tackles (match high) and in top 4 possessions (22) for us. With respect - think there were others more worthy of being singled out.
tackles are overrated… means we don’t have the ball…

So are possessions unless you look into what he did with them….

Don’t spout numbers

16 contested marks to 8.
Our much lauded defence are ‘versatile’ but can actually be exposed for both height/strength as well as pace, both of which happened tonight. If our midfield was a bit better I’d consider throwing Blics back into defence and dropping Henry.
If Rohan was fit (as Scott said), in hindsight we could have done with him all game. I said here yesterday he should go to Lever, but instead Lever did whatever he wanted.
Good experience for Clark, but feel Touhy should have made way instead of MOC or Parfitt.

Jack Henry would want to to take a long hard look at himself. I’m one of his biggest fans but his effort was disgraceful, I would actually drop him if we didn’t need him for structure.
The hyperbole of this statement is off the charts.

Players can have occasional bad games without needing to have a long walk on the beach alone to contemplate how bad his performance was. Nor should we drop him because of it.

Go outside and touch grass.
