How do we go from looking like world-beaters against Essendon, then 💩 the bed at home against Freo two weeks later? It's just got me f##ked how they can be so, so wildly inconsistent.

Chris Scott's comments about "We're the Danger" seem in hindsight to be the the silliest thing uttered from his mouth since "Mission Accomplished".

Danger really needs to tempt Sloane to the Surf Coast, to finish his career with the greatest of team all
We need an injection of youth or to be looking at the mid 20s age bracket - not a player who's going to retire this year or next

If he wanted to sign on for the VFL team and the VFL team, then it would be something to think about as our developing players could use someone of his experience working with them - but I doubt he'll move interstate to play VFL

If guys are injured they should be getting surgery now. Jez clearly injured. Hawkins has been looking hampered for weeks. Whispers 2E has been carrying something for most of the season. Danger has been playing limited minutes. Just make the call now and give them an extra long pre season to get their body’s right. There’s no point playing these guys just to see them struggle.

If we see Bews play a full VFL game tomorrow we can add that to the average decision list
Yes he’s been out for a few games but we just got toweled up by a very average small forward line.

He could’ve been the difference today

He hasn't played since the Swans match which is a month ago, and prior to that game there was calls for him to be dropped to the VFL due to his indifferent form

It's not confirmed if he'll play VFL tomorrow, that'll be a decision made prior to the match but even if he does play I doubt it'll be more than half a match so he can get a run in the legs before turning attention to Saturday night

Shaun Grigg on Krock said he will play tomorrow
Said it was because he’s missed a few games, he’s a seasoned veteran
He would be still fit enough without having to play VFL

Basically don't worry we have Ratagalouie and Parfitt no need to panic.

I listened to Grigg on Krock before the match, and he was bit non-commital about Bews playing tomorrow - yes currently named, but sounded like he had a few boxes to tick and it would depend on how he pulls up from his latest training session

Don't forget that he was out with a knee issue - that would restrict him training wise during recovery, so he may be fit but not necessarily match fit after missing a month

Hopefully he's all good to go tomorrow and he can not only blow out the cobwebs in the VFL, but also find a bit of touch which was missing prior to his injury

I only watched a few minutes of the game, but I think the last dockers goal summed up the day:
Docker player drops the ball to another docker player who drops the ball. Schulz picks it up and kicks the goal.

We could have 6 upsets but the end of tonight? Then good chance Hawks upset Saints tomorrow. Not sure WC/North has a favourite!! If richmond get over Melbourne then could be all underdogs winning for the weekend!
Yep- amazing.

This issue of course is that VFL has a bye next week. So it is sort of play tomorrow (even limited time) or try and be available for AFL with no VFL run in?

I reckon they're going to try VFL tomorrow

Last week prior to our clash with Brisbane, I was listening to Andrew on a different radio station the day before and he was asked about Jed - he wasn't sounding too positive about Jed being available this week and that he was likely a couple of weeks away

That may be why they try half a VFL match tomorrow just to see how he pulls up and if he's a possiblity to face Port

Cats were once masters of poise under pressure.
After today's effort, Cats became a bunch of B-Graders
Todays embarrassment had 17 other clubs celebrating
Conquering Cats teams are now just a distant memory
Memories is all we have as Cats don't control their destiny.
The future is unknown, except that it will be a wild ride
Rather than dwell on today's negatives, think of the positives
We will get to see the kittens play regularly
Wins will be hard fought and celebrated
Better quality draft picks
Ability to claim underdog status
Lowered expectations and humility
No worries about finals tickets

Yes for whatever reason the record is now 4-3 their way at Kardinia park in the last 10 years going back to the final in 2013. We had one big win in 2018, and had two other wins against them by only 2 points each.

Their cheat ground. We should ask to move Freo games to somewhere else.

Said weeks back to throw Stewart into the midfield. Get Mullin straight in as we need the pace. Hard calls had to be made on older guys, Knevitt dropped when he was in better form. Ahh well, still dare to dream but realistically taking more interest in the trades thread than anything else now..
I really dont understand why knevitt was dropped. I would much rather him then say mark oconner.
