This annoys me. We need them to finish poorly for that pick and then they are gifted 7 straight games in Perth. They better play the next stint interstate
everyone will play 8 home games. They play 7 now means they will have to travel again (week in, week out) later in the season. No biggie. More tired leading up to finals.

Just a heads up, I don't know if its been mentioned but this Winter here in WA is like the ones I remember as a kid...cold and very wet.

Luck?

I wouldn’t consider being locked away in WA for a month luck at all, especially considering other teams might not have to do it. Plus, the game against Collingwood could count as a home game which obviously we don’t want.
The lengths Eddie will go to avoid playing at GMHBA.....

Still not confirmed as far as I can find. The Age says the AFL are still in negotiations with the WA government.
It will depend on the quarantine rules. If Geelong and Collingwood have to go into 14 day lockdown on arrival then the hub is useless

Updated round 6 & 7 fixtures just announced, next two games both Thursday Nights (and both classed as "home" games, although that's irrelevant as all VIC sides are interstate from next week until god knows when)

Round 6 (9th July) - Geelong vs Brisbane Lions @ SCG
Round 7 (16th July) - Geelong vs Collingwood @ Optus Stadium

No, Sydney first

We play Brisbane on Thursday night at the SCG

Then we travel to Perth for an extended stay with matches against Pies, Eagles & Freo - first match will be against Collingwood on the Thursday night
