Crap thread name, does not make sense, no irony, humour or pretence of thought, crap thread name and doubt would find anything as ridiculous on other club boards.

Easy, the year 12s have to have some thing to do to pass the time. Maybe I have that wrong maybe it is about Year 10 standard.

But all day everyday in this mindset in that frame of mind for say 5 years...man. It can't be good.
Its why we're so desperate for change.

You're looking at it completely the wrong way. You're thinking "oh just forget the past and be positive".

That's exactly what we're trying to avoid. Why? Because we all care and the failure hurts. We don't want to be ignorant lemmings.

Insanity is doing the same failing thing over and over and not changing. Investing a shit load of emotion into a club that is not changing, but instead repeating the same failures is just crazy. I personally can't keep sitting here and getting hurt by a dick tease of a coach. I don't believe we can win the flag. I think we might go close, but we won't win it. We're fundamentally flawed. And I'm sick of walking away from our games absolutely broken. So I choose to invest as little emotion as my passion allows now. I remember the 2018-2019 failures and how much they made me want to turn away. We still haven't achieved anything and turned it around, despite our desperate need for change which is what is responsible for this attitude. NOT us.

Too early to be thinking seriously about a Port V Brisbane thread The way we are going we could have a dozen players struck down with the mystery illness by the week's end. At this stage there is probably more interest in the Port Magpie V Centrals final and the AFLW Showdown this weekend.

Big fan of people getting cross at the Butcher love. It's like 50% meme 50% he was managed badly. He was just such fun to hitch the wagon to and ride the waves of it. Some of the best fun ive had at the footy was when Butcher was having set shots, the crowd was so incredibly invested in it going in. It was great fun.

Then the infamous night when we were a disgrace and everyone went to the pub with Butch and Trengove etc and had a great time, with Butch re-signing shortly after.

Long story short, if you get upset by it you are being deliberately contrarian. His last game was such a thing of legends lmao. I miss it :(

Could be such a great study on what makes sport great.

In hindsight its pretty funny that Hinkley was the enemy with the Butcher thing too lmao.

The mood back at the club after he kicked 6 goals from 6 kicks on his home debut was like nothing else.

• 138 point loss to Collingwood
• 165 point loss to Hawthorn
• 60 point loss to Bulldogs (down by 74 at HT)

A real buzz and a totem of genuine hope after a tranche of games that could’ve been the club’s worst in 141 years.

Lovely guy, photos and signing autographs with everyone, and generally taking it all in with patience and grace.

Backed up with 12/5 (all contested)/4 and a Brownlow Vote in the robbery against Essendon the following week.

The luxury of being able to look back and smear him as a spud from the off. Waco, indeed.

With all the angst over our thread title, I ventured over to the Crows' board to compare it with their finals preview thread. I couldn't find it ...

Their posts aren’t much of a hit, I wouldn’t bother going there.
