Brentford FC, Geelong Gumbies,
here goes...

They are all warranted IMO.

OUTS:

Nicoski (Absolutely tore apart by Goodwin)
Graham (Wont be needed against Freo and was crap today)
Hansen (Was missing again today just like last week)
Fletcher (Too slow and disposals were questionable again)

INS:

Schofield (Better option down back then Nicoski at this stage)
Rosa (Needed in the middle)
McNamara (Needs some games)
Kennedy (We need to try something else up forward)

a) hurn was on goodwin majority of the game
b) fletcher's disposal was prolly better than 70% of the other players
c) kennedy isnt even that good. as if hansen would be dropped

rosa

i cant believe we dropped rosa last week...if thats anything to go by hansen should get dropped for sure. 2 shockers in a row.

we were outcoached today.

Not too many changes dude..

Not after the way we played its not

We need more in the middle and Rosa and McNamara will give us that and we need a new forward option as Lynch and Hansen have given us nothing the last two wees especially hansen.

lynch has been good in the past two games.

it was a mistake debuting two players in one game, especially a crunch away game. what were we thinking.

just one of those days i guess ay.

I don't see any changes that would really improve the team to the point where we are serious flag contenders.

Ebert and Masten need game time to improve, we aren't going to win the flag this year so I think we should keep them in.

Could make a case for the run and carry from Rosa and Schofield, the contested marking and CHF nous from Kennedy but even then you only get a cumulative ~50 - 70 games and are still likely to be flogged if the senior players aren't running as hard as possible.

Anyone thought about a practice match. See who really wants a spot in this side, just take the best 22 from that practise match.
Might be a bit drastic but at the moment its hard to choose a side.

yes, because all those players that played today cannot play better. we were at our peak and we failed by 80 points.

and they all played so well last week to .

how long do you give plays who are not in form games , while these others in the walf are in form and should be getting a go .

the poor form for some of these players starts from the pre season.

For starters who need blokes who can kick straight.... So Fletcher is out IMO.

Secondly, we need blokes who can offer something else when their playing shit in their priority role... So Graham your out.

Lastly, we need to play like the old days with grunt and confidence, so Nico your out.

IN: Rosa, Spangher, McKinley (after a bag of 7).

OUT: Glass, Hurn, Hunter, Graham, Masten, Hansen, Selwood
IN: Spangher, Schofield, McNamara, Wilkes, Selwood, Kennedy, McKinley

Oh, and OUT: Worsfold, IN: Sumich

Hm, my knee's hurting for some strange reason...Must've jerked it too hard when thinking of this list. Any of you guys feeling the same?

Out: Hansen, graham, nicko

in: Josh kennedy kicked three goals for east freo may give us another option up forward.

Scott Selwood He has been on the reserve bench twice and has been training really well during the pre-season lets give him a crack may give us that extra bit off legs we really lacked this week

Jamie Mcnamara or Matt Rosa which ever showed more in the wafl

i wouldnt drop hansen, he is too important

Why wouldn't you drop him....seriously.

I've said this before and and say it until I'm blue in the face, picking players on their reputation is bullsh!t.

Hansen looked severely underdone today........he's had an interupted preseaon and simply isn't fit enough yet. Drop him to the WAFL for 1...2..3 games untill he can run out a game.

What was REALLY concerning today was we couldn't find a half back flank to take Goodwin...........FFS half back flankers are supposed to grow on trees people...a dime a dozen:eek: but we had to rob our midfield (Hurn) in order to cover a half back flank.....THATS a big concern IMO.

We were WAY too tall today. Masten and Ebert did ok for theit first game considering the way the rest of the team played.

OUT:

Hansen - not fit enough
Graham - no matchup /poor performance
Glass - knee ????? looked very constricted:(
Nicoski - absolute SHOCKER, go learn how not to give away free kicks
Staker - did he do anything?????????????????????????

IN:

Kennedy - need a mobile CHF
J Mac - pace
S Selwood - small mobile back
Rosa - need more pace to run throughy the lines
Spanger / Schofield - half back flanker

I wouldn't say no to Spangher and Schofield, both run with the ball out of the backline and could very well be handy players especially in the context of the season and how important player development is this year. Getting 20 games into 5 or 6 key young players could be very important to 2009.

Also be good to see what Kennedy can do for the side (if anything) especially when Hansen has looked SO ordianairy the past couple of weeks

No real complaints about Graham except he doesn't really provide much, ok defender, ok disposal from half back and ok forward but no standout feature of his game.

I swear Nico gave away at least 4 goals in the second half when he was moved to half back, he is good (not great) on agile forwards but lead and mark forwards tear him apart every time. Will be concerns about him playing on Farmer next week.

We are seriously missing some enthusiasm

Hunter is way off his best
Kerr can't kick
Glass is looking like it was 2002 again
Hansen can't get anywhere near top pace on the lead for fear he will ping a hamstring
Embley was better today but still way off his 2005 and late 2006 form.

All credit to the crows today, very slick in every single department, luckily they don't hand out the premiership medallions for another 6 months.
