Jones likely has a concussion. Couldn't get a 100% confirmation.

So I would expect at least 2 forced changes next week.

On WAFL form today we really don't have 2 players to bring in who have played any footy.

It's basically Darling and Jones out.
Trew into the 22 and Chesser as the sub.

Outside of that it's 2 cat b rookies and a year 1 ruck who was either injured or got his pants absolutely pulled down by Max Knobel.

Hurn a possibility? Wouldn’t mind Chesser building a few games in the WAFL first

I don't care what needs to be done, forget your pride for a week. The method and synergy for this week is to lose, that's it, like we have been doing all season. So i do not want to see guys whove been playing ass the whole season decide for this week to be the game they show up.

Read the room and rest all senior players you can. If we win this game i will be beyond disgusted.

Who replaces Darling? Surely they’re not going to bring Jack Williams in for his first game of the season without some WAFL minutes under his belt? He was supposedly only a week or so away in last weeks injury report.

Jamieson to full time ruck and Bailey to spend more time up forward? Jamieson’s performance on Friday night was underwhelming to say the least but he’s likely to retain his spot because we’ve got very few other fit players.

Maybe Bazzo as a forward? I know he had a bit of a reputation for swinging back or forward for Guildford Grammar in his draft year.

I mean we sent Darling back out with a fractured arm so I'd say we're more than capable of bringing an underdone Williams in

Don’t have an over abundance of talls so we need to get something out of him. But I guess he’ll get a good stretch of games now until NicNat returns in ‘6-7 weeks’ - which means he could play 10-12 more games. 😀
Whens Nic Nat due to come out of Fat Boot Camp?

Darling a definite out, Jones a maybe depending on complications with his broken nose as it is an injury that can sometimes be played through

LEdwards showed enough when he came on as sub to come into the 22

Hopefully SPS recovers from his corkie but that’s far from certain. I doubt Hurn gets up

Trew’s stats were good in the WAFL but I suspect the club would rather bring Chesser in over Trew despite his lower possession count. Personally I hope they give him another WAFL run

Ideally -

• SPS comes in for Darling
• Ledwards comes into the 22 and we play Jones as the sub

Could also drop Jamieson and use Rotham as 2nd ruck with Chesser as sub and Jones stays in the 22

Bring in bazzo .

Hedwards bazzo and rotham as our tall defenders .

Barrass moves forward with Allen and waterman.

If Bailey Williams is sore leave him home and run with jamo + waterman in the ruck.

Also move chesser to the HBF give him a defending role . He is struggling on the wing

Far out wanting to lose come on dude. Yes I understand the benefit of draft picks but this is just plain wrong

From memory last year Greg Clark played the week after breaking his nose.

Hopefully Jones doesn’t have a concussion and the nose break isn’t too bad. He’s become a very important player for us

There's vision of Jones walking around the ground and the doctors trying to get him off and he was not in a good way. Now it's only vision but to me he was either concussed or in shock. A knee to the base of the nose is not just your normal nose break. How much weight and force is coming from that.

Jamo to FF, Allen to CHF (I think that suits him better)

I prefer the idea of Rotham playing forward... Jamo to go back
Who the hell are we going to use as the creative attacking back to replace Jones though?
Rotham can run a bit, Jamo is a super wild card but we should be exploring the limits of players. Unless you go over the limit you never know ehere it is.
We will not win away regardless. JD is super important to us.

Lose this game and no one can take the Harley Reid pick from us unless we really want to give it up.

For the sake of the next premiership, we should then play Mr Ed for the rest of the season, whatever it takes.

Trust that our club culture can survive another truly shitty season and look back in awe at our pillaging of the 2023 draft.

Out: Darling, Jones (curse)
In: Edwards (into 22), Trew, Chesser (sub)

Backs: Barrass, Hedwards, Rotham, Witherden, Duggan, Hough, Foley
Mids: Kelly, Sheed, Ginbey, XON, Clark, Hunt
Rucks: Williams, Jamieson
Forwards: Allen, Waterman, Petruccelle, West, Gaff, Ledwards, Trew
Sub: Chesser
Emergencies: Long (if fit enough to at least be sub), Bazzo (ditto), Barnett

Duggan and Hough to play back full-time and provide a bit of run in the absence of Jones. Ginbey can rest forward a bit if he’s not up to a full game in the midfield, there’s plenty of mids there who I’m sure would be happy to switch. It’s a real makeshift forward line.

I’m assuming SPS isn’t available, if he is he comes in instead of Trew.

Chesser may not be up to a full game yet so he can have a run as the sub.

No WAFL game (probably a good thing, we’d just about have to forfeit), so if Long and/or Bazzo are close to being able to resume one or both of them can fly as a break-glass emergency like Chesser did for the Richmond game.

I don’t buy into the “let’s rest players and go the tank” mentality, but in any event we can’t really do that because there’s no one to come in. Maybe you could rest/manage Williams and give Barnett a debut to back up Jamieson.

Duggan has been so much better in the last few games with mid time. Feel like that's a rob Peter/Paul situation.
I'd love if Long was back, I'd actually play Trew in the guts and drop XON too.

Petch as attacking back isn't such a bad idea. Rotating mid perhaps with RG?
