It will probably be a Saturday game as the Cats will play finals (the earlier the game, the more flexibility the AFL has with finals schedules).
With the bye in between the days games are played are no longer relevant. Finals teams are actually requesting to player later as it gives them more rest from their last game and not too long before the next. So say Geelong are looking at a Top 2 finish they will want to play Sunday in Round 23 and Friday night in R1 of the finals.
Yeah noticed he kissed his arm with the band around it when he kicked his first.
I remember them giving us the Saturday game a few times, so we can play on the Thursday night (this was with the bye I'm place). The good thing with the Thursday game, is it gives you a minimum 8 day break if you end up playing wk 2.

All players (I think... I pretty much only noticed it on forwards when they were kicking for goal) had 1 black armband on.
Willie and Liam Ryan had 2 black armbands on. (there may well have been others - but they were the 2 I noticed). I don't think they have mutual close relatives, so either in support, or a friend.
Either way, it felt like both of them were a little more emotional when they kicked goals.

The past 3 years there has been this talk of resting him for away games etc. And every week posters have him in the outs as rested, irrespective of where our game is.
It just doesn't happen. He is too important to us, especially this year without Oscar so the MC will squeeze every last drop of blood out of JK while they still can.
Yeah i think also know its his last he can just go all out now if his body is able.
The talk of his last game being a home game is silly too.
My dream is that we beat Cats at GMHBA in the last round, breaking the hoodoo and sending JK, Hurn and Shuey off in style.
JK's schedule from the final whistle last Friday to the Rich game:

Shazza's gonna be 35 by Christmas. Surely he's done.
I would've thought so before this year.
But I reckon he's playing better footy than just about any of our other backmen TBH.
I'd have him in front of Duggan, Witherden, Rotham etc.
The thing is his numbers are as good as 2018 but yeah his impact his well below. That said with Yeo, Jones in defence he has started looking better

Geelong will be treating the game as a percentage boost in order to finish top 2/4 whilst we'd have already checked out for the season.
But it'd be so us to win the game and go from pick 3 to pick 6 wouldn't it. It would still be fun to win but would much rather beat freo the week before.
