We can all bitch and moan if, after tomorrows game, the changes that were made didn't pay off. If, however they have, I expect to see a lot of bloody  in here!

1) We are playing a team that we have matched up well against in recent years

2) We are playing a team 5 places below us on the premiership table.

3) We are playing a team that we defeated twice this year, including a win in Perth by 5 goals

3) We have every player available except Talia. They are missing McPharlin (the All Australian full back) and Broughton, an important player in their line-up.

4) They are coming off two 6 day breaks.

5) They have slept in their own beds only three nights in the last seven They were in Melbourne last Friday and Saturday night, arrived back in Perth on Sunday and flew to Adelaide on Wednesday.

6) They have travelled half the way to London in the last week.

7) We last left Adelaide three weeks ago.

If we lose tomorrow night it has nothing to do with the changes made at selection.

I fully expect to win with us pulling away after a tight first half.

We have so many advantages that a loss would be the worst finals defeat in the history of the Crows.
Didn't you expect us to win last week?

Nah, the worst loss was giving up the 93 Preliminary final.

Certainly did but I can forgive us losing to a finals hardened team with experienced gun players.

We can debate the worst ever finals loss in the Penthouse just off Chapel Street next week. I have brought forward the lease to next Wednesday so we can have a 10 day build up to the Grand Final against Sydney.

In the 1993 Preliminary Final

1) We were massive underdogs

2) Essendon finished top, we finished 5th (although only one and a half games behind them)

3) Essendon thumped us earlier in the season

4) We were playing our third game in Melbourne in a row

Like almost all great comebacks, Essendon should never have allowed us to get a 7 goal lead. The crowd was unbelievable that day and when Essendon started to come back after half time the noise seemed to crush our boys (e.g. the Jarman shot at goal)

Soft safe selections based on surnames rather than output:thumbsdown:

Many reputations on the line this week, including the AFC as a whole.

Harper sounded flat as a tack on radio, last weeks loss has sucked the life out of them imo.

Who will stand up and turn it around?

Who won't give a yelp?
Expert on how people talk and what it means? And why does Phil Harper represent the playing group?

Cmon, it is a ****ing final in the last home game of the season, the players won't be flat ffs. They weren't flat last week either, they just butchered the ball.

I hope Hendo is on the whole game....aaaargh they brought in Thompson OMFG now we're in trouble. How many times does this idiot have to play before they realise he can't play????
Oh yeah, Rendell must have no idea what he is talking about when he says LT is one of the best defenders in the SANFL at present, and would be an excellent inclusion to the side.

The players shitted themselves. If we get through this game, IMO we will be better prepared for a cut throat Prelim.

Yeah, I'm not sure why people think Lyon is some puppet master who coaches teams that easily account for us. We beat the Saints here both times in the years we were shit.

The last of course was with Sando.

I just wish Talia had played, but with McPharlin out that does even things up.

Plus last time no Tipp or Porps, yes I know they had no Sandi or Fyfe.

Sauce is arguably AA ruckman, well now is a time to prove it, at the very least break even.

Not going to be surprised if Jenkins is a "late" inclusion given Zach Clarke is in for Freo replacing Bradley. Looks like Lyon is trying to really "stretch" us for height and looks set to give Jacobs and our defence no rest.

I love all your points and have also gone into detail about these points being very significant.

If we were to win, I like the fact that we are playing the Hawks on a Saturday evening. An extra day makes a huge difference.

If anyone in here has played the game, did weights or do regular running, then they will know that an extra days is massive.

I still think Pav has a question mark. ie. His calf. One on one - Rutten is the man.

If the situation was reversed I would hate to be playing the Dockers with only a 6 day break with consecutive interstate matches.

The player are talking shit about anytime anyplace and anywhere.

Unless its a GF, these things play on your mind.

If the game is a hard running one and we are going toe to toe in the third, we will run over them.

I would like for a fcuking change to be leading to put some scoreboard pressure on the Dockers and get the crowd evolved.

If we lead by a few goals, its curtains for the Dockers, the momentum and crowd will carry us over.

Who steps out Riley?

We dont want to be going too tall. Then again, it will and should be a dry day albeit windy.

Yeah, surprised no one brought up Freo's selections prior to this post. Zac is an interesting in for them. If they are trying to "stretch" us (and lets face it, they are) i hope it pisses down rain

Pav looks sore, Ballantyne had a "fitness test" today (may have been a bluff) and they have travelled for the past 2 weeks. No excuses. We lose, we have King Kong on our back

One thing I dont understand is that the Dockers seem to have no concern about our players like Walker etc. All the talk is about what we will do about them.

If Walker has a big game, we win. I expect Callinan to do well this game. What is his form like with Centrals in finals, anybody???????
