Why Douglas? There were at least 10 players who were worse than him today. His 1st and 4th quarters were very good, which is more than you can say for a whole heap of our players today.

Yeah, Dougy was probably our best mid in those quarters.

I reckon Vince should be sub.

He is a lazy player, gets by on talent, but can make an impact. Could be a good role for him, not having to play a full game.



I don't mind Dougy he is a C grade HF Flanker at best, but does do his job.


Dougy and Vince are two guys I hope some of younger mid/Flankers playing SANFL can push out in the next year or two.

Because he continually loses his feet at crucial times, the one in the third quarter was a momentum killer

We need Vince. We just need smarter ball winners to feed him the ball. Maybe better stoppage set ups, not just kick it quick! He is a perfect receiver, he's the one I want kicking the ball to the forward line. He plays HF, 20 disposals a game, would set up many goals. Lets use him to his strengths and not expect him to play like Shane Crawford or Robert Harvey.

Changes depend on our opposition. Of Freo continue their form against the Cats, we may not need the additional tall defender to replace Talia.

Think we need more of an x-factor as the sub - Martin should come in as in decent form (for say Pets). Hendo also may be chance depending on how he plays this week - could be a replacement for Talia or Otten may be a chance.

If Cats recover, then need another genuine tall defender - McKernan or L Thompson.

Around the ground, yes. Near forward 50, no. He and a few others have a good foward 50 delivery. Was evident in the 1st and 4th quarters.

Vince, I've lost interest. I love him, but if he isn't willing to get dirty and play with intensity, I'm not sure he should be in the side.

We had many, many poorer users/players than Douglas today.
