Do we actually think McStay will play? That would be a big surprise. Enjoying your holiday?

I'd have Frampton in, and WHE out, but I suspect against Gold Coast we won't do this.. McCreery to to come into the 22 obviously.

I really want to see us move on from WHE. Goes to water under physical pressure - fumbles and turnover handballs. He isn't getting enough of it on the outside or using it well enough when he does to make up for that.

AJ will do better with McStay in the team. His goal from 50m on the run was great. Dropped a few marks he'd normally stick.

What about the first 3 quarters?

Well we won the game in last qtr and he was a big part in that. mnay other players in the team had up and down moments in first 3 qtrs ... dont just single out one player, but anyway point is moot, as the selectors and head coach do not agree with you, and most of us here trust those professionals over Big footy posters ...

Johnson looks better when given that 2nd ruck role and is able to roam the ground as he has a good set of hands.

People quick to throw him out after 1 or 2 bad ones. I think the beauty at the moment is that Mason Cox is playing the best and most consistent footy of hes life. We could play Cameron ruck with Johnson pinch hitting and really try and stretch the GC backs by playing Cox permanent fwd this week. He looks like he’s A - going to mark everything or B - Going to be impeded everytime the ball goes in towards him.

I think we are still finding our mix, seems like I’m the only 1 who seems to rate Markov, the kid hasn’t put a foot wrong I don’t reckon, he’s a real competitor.

The ones who haven’t been performing the best aren’t the usual suspects it is blokes like Lippa, Crispy and up until the weekend Elliott.

True I like McCreery in the 22 but he did bring a huge amount of energy when subbed in, that’s the key with the sub, it needs to be a smaller impact type player who can run over the top when others are tired.

You're definitely not the only one to rate Markov. He has a few supporters on here. Me being one of them. He's everything Fly loves in a player.

I think Frampton has to come in this week, because of the three GC talls.
Murphy is too small.
The one we really need to stop is Lukosius, because his kicking is elite and he can kick goals from long range.
Of course we need to limit the supply to their forwards, which is no easy task, given the quality of their mids.
It will be a tough game.

They've got a lot of free time and with all the recreational drug testing and alcohol discouragement during the week, light pole licking passes a few hours.

I think Damien Barrett was at training during the week, no wonder they caught something.

True to a degree. If a player is contracted in 2024, offers remain offers and the player does not HAVE to be traded, even if they want to. So in the context of Macrae, contracts are something.

Bryce Gibbs the case in point. Carlton didn’t like Adelaide’s offer so made him stay and see out his contract.

How did that work for Carlton? I’m sure if they had their time over again they wouldn’t waste time and effort on a player who didn’t want to be there.
