Horrible conservative changes.

Nank has not looked out of place at all.
Smith has played 2 very good games on the wing.
Your suggestion basically means we’ve lost two wings, added midfielders who don’t have the same skill sets as what we have lost against a team which has been exposed by run in recent games.
Would definitely be leaving defence as is and keeping Brodie on the wing

All I know is that it’s going to be hot in Brisbane on Saturday….let’s hope they keep some juice in the tank for third and fourth quarters
Yes has a high of 26 but it gets noticeably cooler later in afternoon, I would think 18-21 degrees at 435pm start time and cooling from there. NOTHING like oppressive heat and humidity which cost us 2 game’s earlier in the year

Match ups appropriate but Hipwoods potential pace advantage does concern me if the 3. The others option if he is getting exposed is Worrell onto Hipwood and Hinge on Gunston
Can actually see Hinge spend sometime on Hipwood too as can keep up but also get into his offence game and test Hipwood defensively

Hinge did a massive job on Jezza Cameron who isn’t dissimilar in his roaming ways to Hipwood. More a leading marking player than pack contested player

If you actually read my post, I said the changes that “I predict” we will make. Frankly I cant find any combination that will produce a win on Saturday with an inexperienced defence and no reliable outside mids.

After all the posters who predicted “The end of the World as we know it“ if Crouchy was brought back into the AFL, and were not exactly correct 🙄, I am surprised that you are once again so confident in predicting our best combination.

Our outside midfielders have hardly been our strength this year. Imho,
1) Hinge has been our best wingman but he has been even better in defence.
2) Chayce has been the best of our regular wingmen but he ain’t gonna be there.
3) Sholl played some good games early but faded.
4) Sloane also played some good games early on the wing but seems to lack the tank to run out a full game.
5) Soligo is more effective as an inside mid but has played some good games on the wing. Unfortunately his recent form interstate has been very poor.
6) Schoenberg has played a bit of wing in the SANFL but is better as an inside mid.
7) Hately has been the most influential player on a wing in the SANFL but is also better as an inside mid.
8) “Cameo“ Cook has improved in the last month but despite some great highlights he has never ripped a game apart.
9) The Nank has played better games on the wing in the SANFL than Cook, imho.

I suspect that whatever we do will end in tears on Saturday.

Totally agree. I have lived in the region for close on 10 years and am a weather nerd as well. Unlike South Australia, the warmest part of the day in SE QLD is often earlier in the day. They often get a blow off from the coast late in the day. As well, being winter, the days are still relatively short and the sun will be setting. Pleasant and balmy yes, but, as you say, certainly not oppressive. What we should be planning for is a quick game. It will be dry (not dewy) with light winds. Good marking and handling conditions. The backs will have to be at the top of their game and skills should be on display. Pace will be important. I'm all for bringing in Pedlar, and of course Rankine IF TOTALLY FIT.

Unfortunately the match clashes with the Matildas’ game which is across town at Brisbane Rectangular (aka Suncorp) Stadium. Not good for TV viewers or traffic for those attending.
I thought about going, made a good decision I reckon, will be chaos in Brisbane that arvo

I wouldn't think one would affect the other. On different sides of the river and you can't really park at either venue. Most go by public transport.
