B Laird - Talia - Doedee
HB McAsey - Hartigan - Smith
C Milera - Sloane - Atkins
HF McHenry - Lynch - McAdam
F Murphy - Walker - Jones
R O'Brien - M. Crouch - B. Crouch

I Fogarty - Seedsman - Brown - Keays

Hartigan in for Kelly. It's unfair on McAsey to make him spend a whole year getting bullied by mature key forwards, behind a losing midfield. Let Hartigan such on that. Let McAsey float in from the side to intercept mark and have a little fun.

McAdam in for Crocker. Or Keays I guess. Both are hard working low skill potatoes. Nicks said McAdam was good in the scratch match, that's good enough for me.

Tough to judge the outside players when the inside players are so non-competitive. Every one of Smith Seedsman Atkins Milera looked terrible. All stay for now I think.

Yep....but if you were a betting man...how many flags v spoons coming our way over the next 10 years ? ....id say 3 zip at a minimum....assuming youve been watching the games since mid last year?
Surely Port fans have better things to do than log on here with an alias.

Dear players,

You can't hide behind Camporeale anymore. Or Burton. All efforts come from you.

Crouch, Crouch, Laird, Lynch - stat padding. Lots of touch no hurt.
ROB - played well
Milera - time to start doing more. You always look like you're just standing around.
Jones - i liked what you did when you got the ball, keep going
McHenry - i liked this too, nice debut, keep it up
Sloane - doing good until injury
Seedsman, Atkins - i understand you're outside players but it's not outside of space and time FFS
Smith - what are you doing?
Talia - ok game but Charlie kicked 3
Walker - if only mids could deliver
Brown - great intercept but first instinct is to slow down play, that's death to us
Doedee - good game, lots of harassment and chase
Murphy - what a graveyard the forward pocket will be for us this year
Keays - at least he had nice hair
McAsey - couple of howlers but he'll learn, i liked him forward too
Crocker - did okay with limited opportunities
Fogarty - as above but with a bit of biff
Kelly - injured, i think we really missed him

Myles Poholke, Jordan Gallucci, Harry Schoenberg and Ronin O’Connor. You did well in the scratch match, now it's time to get you in the team.

If Nicksy's yelling about bruise-free footy already, I want:

OUT: Kelly (inj) Sloane (inj) Seedsman
IN: Sholl, Poholke, Gallucci

(I'd be surprised if Atkins is dropped for his 100th game)

Also, as an aside:

It's now 8 years since Trigg royally ****ed our club. Our 2 x 1st and 2nd draftees of that period would have been in the system that long.

Here's the draft

So, our pathetic one-way midfield would have another 1, 1, 2, 2 players plus whatever we got for Kurt, in the prime of their careers.

You have to find the right balance though, you can't just put all the kids in at once as it won't do their development any good getting smashed by 100 points every week. We still need some experienced players in their to protect the young kids.

It's a hard one as we have ignored youth for so long, we should have been slowly bringing these kids in the last 2 years while we were still semi competitive, to try to ease them in. Now we have left it too late and it could ruin there development. Just look at what it did to Gold Coast and Carltons kids to get smashed each week with no good senior players around them.

Outside injuries / concussions I'd pick the same team. The younger guys just need a block of games. A few of the older guys like Lynch, Atkins and Tex don't deserve a game but I think as a new coach you give them another chance.

The problem Nick's has is we are going to get thrashed most weeks this season and you can't make five or six changes a week as it just ends up being the same guys rotating in and out of the team. Guys get dropped knowing they will get back in without showing anything.

That's not what I said, nice attempt at diversion.

Lonely life for a Port fan pretending to be a Crows fan past midnight.
Diversion ???...your the one calling a lifelong Crows supporter and member a Port Supporter....and questioning my bed time?
You indeed have a lot in common with the Crows board....the failure to admit there is an issue and all is not well at this club runs DEEP.

Unlikely to happen in one week, but why drop Keays and Crocker after 1 week ??

We’ve got to get more penetration from the back half, if Kelly is out, it must be Sholl or Hamill in. Talia, Dood and McAsey is plenty of tall marking power. We probably will drop Keays and despite having no confidence in him turning out decent, I’ll be very pissed if he is dropped after one game. Want to make a difference by dropping a forward, send a message and drop Lynch. Put every senior player on notice.

Your as deluded as the AFC board if you blame the members and supporters for this shit show Cap

I partially blame members and supporters. It’s easy to dismiss the genuine criticism when you don’t need to try too hard to get the same backslaps that you experience inside the 4 walls from huge numbers of morons. Look at how many customers donated their season ticket money as a message of job well done to this shit show. And make no mistake, if there was a crowd, it’s our players that get walked out on or booed and the culture of the place has our admin doing the same from their corporate box. I feel for the players, they‘re the executable instrument of the worst performing admin structure in the league.

I don't buy that for one second. Even if no one donated their money, the admin wouldn't care.

Pretty much every club had the same percentage as we did.

I'd play McAsey forward, bring Jordy in down back.

Keays was woeful, but no more single games for developing players. 3 more and if that’s all he’s got, we can delist him then and there. Give him a chance to prove himself either way.
Ever wondered why he got delisted? Not going to have a magical transformation with us.
