I dunno about you guys but we need a fast person down in defense and one up forward. I want Hamill and Macadam in ASAP, dont even care if they're out of form, I don't even want them to get a kick necessarily, I'd just like someone in defense who can catch the oppositions quickest defender and someone up forward who can get separation.

Laird in too, will be good. We need some experience in the midfield bad.

Speed isn't the issue down there

29 touches, 158 metres gained - easy to be solid when you hold up forward movement and then kick 10 metres to a stationary target
The midfield can have one of those types in it, the distributor.... But we have less talent on the outside to give it to

The problem is we have 3-4 distributors and another couple in the SANFL waiting their turn

That's exactly right.

He's the best at it so he plays.... The others, well that's the issue.

Is it crazy to want to replace Murray with Frampton? Murray may be one of the dumbest footballers I’ve ever seen, and that’s saying ALOT considering his teammates right now, His disposal is Hartiganesque. At least Frampton has the ability to occasionally hit a target.
Not Frampton. Play McAsey for half a dozen games. If he flops, we delist.

You know it's time for a change to the midfield mix when even Bickley is bemoaning the lack of change to the Sloane / Keays / Crouch mix.

We've just got to bite the bullet and adopt a policy that mandates one of Shoey, Pedlar, Soligo etc.. is always in midfield at any given time.

Tell you what, I’m mighty ****ing sick of Crouch “distributing” it 1m to a stationary teammate with an opposition player draped off them. Even more so whenever that player is our lumbering uncoordinated Ruckman.

It'll change next week

Keays/Crouch/Laird..... It's why we've been putting Dawson in the middle during trainings.

This needs to be a balls to the wall selection week. We gave Nicks an extended contract so he could see through the rebuild, this year the team has shown nothing yet. So Nicks can either play it safe and see out some of contract or he can actually give it a red hot ****ing go.

Out:
Rob
Sloane (inj)
Soligo - needs a run in SANFL
Himmelberg
Fog
Crouch - we know what he can offer and its not much besides handballs to flat footed players and high up and under kicks.

In:
Stratchan
Laird
Worell - up forward
Hatley
Thilthorpe
Davis
Berry

Restructure the mids, understand you are going to get crunched but put some good time Berry, Hatley. as was already mentioned jones sinks or swims as a wingman, Thilthrope has to play high half forward, and Davis gives some poise to the backline.

This season is done and dusted so the question needs to be what are we going to get out of it for development

Also i am so done with players who give it a red hot go but arent elite getting long term / high paying contracts - Sloane, Rob, Milera, Murphy (somewhat) the new rule needs to be elite contracts are for elite players that are not replaceable.

This is the most painful part of it all. I'm ok with some bad losses while guys find their feet, get the fitness and strength to compete with the big dogs but what's the excuse for our midfield look not changing aside from inserting Schoenberg a little since the start of a rebuild? Keays should be the center of midfield at present, then make sure as you say there's at least always some of those new guys rotating through. Sloane & Crouch should be there after that to ensure we dont burn our kids out.

At least losing but giving them valuable experience and development there's reason for it.

I'd go even further. I'd mandate a MAXIMUM of one of Sloane/Keays/Laird/Crouch at any centre bounce.

Out: Sloane, O'Brien, McHenry
Shot directly into the sun: Himmelberg
In: Laird, Strachan, 2 best performed players in trial match
I think this is pretty good but I would go with Hately and Strawny and leave TT for another week.

Sloane out: Laird In
McHenry out: Hately in
Himmelberg out: Strawny in
Murray out: Frampton in
Rowe out: Newchurch or Berry in

On notice Schoenberg, Jones and Scholl.

Keys moved to HF with Pedlar and rotating Pedlar through the middle.
