Give him this game off then bring back 4 days after with the shortened break.

We should be using these short breaks to manage players with lots of changes.

This. 100%.

The selectors should be trying to rotate as many players as possible through the side over this short break block. In principle, no-one should play more than 3 of the next 4.

There's 4 games x 22 players to manage. 20 players playing 3, 12 playing 2 and 4 playing one works. Gives a chance to get some games into Butts, Scholl, etc, and doesn't burn out either the old warhorses like Talia and Tex, nor the scrawny kids like Hamill.

What I'd do

OUT

Brad - Don't think it damages his value too much.
Matt - Brad would still be better on one leg
Doedee - No risks
Jones - Needs a spell
Hartigan - Why are we bothering
Mackay - Ditto.
Himmelberg - Ditto
McAdam - rest on saturday, play the Wednesday.

IN

Schoenberg - Surely it's time.
Gibbs - 1 week farewell as a squad rotation
Butts - I'd like to Seymour Butts
Neddy - If he's right to go, Poholke if not.
Kelly - Straight swap for Doedee.... Sort of
Sholl - Give him a taster
Worrall - Diito
Strachan - Ditto again.

People wanting to drop Seedsman are clearly watching a different game to me. Starting to pick up some form and one of our few players that can take the game on at times.

HBerg needs to go. We probably lost the game on his selection.

Out: Crouch, Doedee :(, Hberg
In: Schoenberg, Kelly :(, Frampton/Fog

We lost the game with forwardline entries and poor goal kicking

But I did forget Fog, if he's fit he plays.

But his bruised shoulder needs another month

But coaches are competitive - I don't think they've written the year off as just a development season and results don't matter. I think they'll want to win.
And with Sydney, Fremantle, St Kilda, and Essendon (minus their 3 best players) all behind us, North Melbourne probably represents Adelaide's last remaining chance for a win this season. Lose this, and 0-17 becomes a near certainty.

Club made it sound like it was precautionary and I did see footage of him standing up at the end of the game without an ice pack. Knowing our luck though he's probably gone for 4 or 5 weeks.
Ah, the classic Crows 1 week injury which turns out to be 6.

They did say during the week that keeping Fog out this weekend was precautionary, so you’d assume he’s straight in for Himmelberg.

If we assume Doedee and Crouch are out
Out: Jones, Crouch, Doedee
In: Fogarty, Schoenberg, Gibbs
McAsey moves to the back line to replace Doedee. Schoenberg plays the role Jones played today. Gibbs because we need someone around the ball who has shown they can get it and actually use it.
I would be keeping McAsey forward. Can always use ROB at CHB and Strahan in the ruck.

You will beat us next week you should have won today and once you get a win you will win about 4 to 5 games for the rest of the year

A good chance for McAsey to play Doedee’s role.

Fogarty in.

Schoenberg in for B.Crouch.

Keep persisting with the rest.
Yeah I wouldn't mind trying Fish in that spot for a couple of weeks.
