I'm really excited - lot of players in and out - those coming in have plenty to prove.

In a tough contested game in a hostile environment on the road - we will really see who steps up.

So we've lost most of our outside run, the two mids we have who kick goals with any consistency, our best small forward and our captain.
We're playing a great team whose strengths target our weaknesses, in weather that negates our strength in talls, on their patch after limping over the line against an average team in St Kilda.
Smells like a flogging to me.

Looking forward to a full game from Sheed and seeing he and Wellingham get more time through the middle.
Hopefully Sheppard can keep his form going and Lycett can stake a claim.

If we can put in a good effort and avoid a flogging I'd be content.

It's a good opportunity for Simpson - he's not been in this situation yet, and as we know the first year will always be partially about the coach learning about the playing group and how they function under different circumstances. If we get flogged it will still be part of the education process that will inevitably be going on off field. I just hope we don't get more injuries and hope morale doesn't reach 2013 levels
