Watching the Collingwood/Richmond game, it's hardly a muddy deck at the G - that is to say the G's drainage is doing it's thing, but they're still slipping and sliding.

Both sides' ball use has been deplorable, but Collingwood have been setting up to keep it moving forward at all costs and it's working.

I guess I'm saying I want McGiggity in if we're gonna go a smaller bloke. We have enough good ball users to compensate IMO.
Who are these good ball users?

Gaff, Sheed, Butler, Sheppard, Cox, Ellis, Bennell and Hill all have good skills. Mackenzie, Brown Rosa and Wellingham are all competent albeit unspectacular while JK and Darls are solid for talls. We'll be okay

How many are out relative to the preseason and first 3 weeks? You guys have been in hot form.

I think Geelong are due a loss.
A win would be nice, but probably not going to happen.

We have out:

Shuey (brain fade)
Hurn (knee)
Masten (hamstring)
Glass (hip)
LeCras (arm)
Tunbridge (nose)

Prior to season
Waters (shoulder)
Barrass (hip)

I've got a warm fuzzy feeling that we can do this. In Simmo i trust. I reckon he will find a way to get us across the line.
If my faith is not misplaced, what a win it would be!

I think it will be one of those reality-check style thrashings. Examples from the past which spring to mind - v Collingwood in 2011, v Port in 2003 etc

In those games we'd also hit a rich vein of form before getting absolutely pumped. This has a similar feel to it although this time for me there's a lot less expectation.

Really looking forward to seeing Dom Sheed play this week. He's not going to get a tougher test in the H/A season.

Shuey and Masten out, up against Selwood,Stevie J,Duncan etc in the wet down in Geelong.

Not expecting a heap in his first full game(assuming he doesn't get the vest) but hopefully he throws his body into a few contests and we get a glimpse of his inside work.

My thoughts exactly.

We're looking at Priddis, Scooter and Sheed's class against Selwood, Bartel and Kelly.. You do the math people

i'd like to have a warm fuzzy feeling and like your sentiment, but the cold reality is spoiling the mood so far. maybe i'll get a wave of fuzziness as the game unfolds...heres hoping.

my head tells me it will be a reality check, but not a thrashing - a respectable loss?
my heart is hoping for something unexpected to happen - the team really shows what it can do, or simpson shows his coaching chops? in a near miraculous hard fought win, where the wet conditions are a leveller?
(but i can hear voices in my head saying 'you crazy, wheres our midfield, wheres our midfield, we'll get pumped?)

Just realised that with Glass out, the Selwood brothers will be shaking hands at the coin toss. Expecting a fight to break out.

The Selwood boys, aye! Had to laugh in the Saints game when shhawy said if you tackle the Selwoods, you gotta do it around the ankles. That is the only way to get low enough.
Was the only funny thing i've ever heard him say.

Thank God Priddis is playing or we'd be No Chance. No Chance in hell
