If he didn't want the crowd to boo Lobb he would have mentioned Lobb being part of a drought breaking finals wining team and a big part of that structure, that we really valued him hence the trade we ended up accepting for him to move.

.... but he didn't.

I think he knows the crowd will get in Lobb's head. I won't be surprised if Rory gets a $1000 fine for giving the crowd the finger or other obscene gesture as he kicks a goal.

dogs might be without keath again, looks like no smith or bruce either. should be in good stead to get the win here, just got to keep bont on lock and push english around a bit as well
And stop O'Brien and Jones from taking 30 marks...

Barlow reckons Logue's teammates would have wanted to push hard to get the win for him against Freo. Logue's a likeable bloke though.

Can't see Bullies being that interested in doing much of anything for Lobb. Guys a vain loner with a bit of cool aid dribbling down his chin who wouldn't really fit in many places. Expecting boos

Lobb was the only one that left in really acrimonious circumstances last year. Acres to a lesser extent and Logue even less so, and the fans clearly don't hold much of a grudge against Meek or Tucker. They will all get booed to some extent, but Lobb will get booed the hardest out of that group by far

I’m fully expect a career best game from him
I either expect him to barely touch it or to dominate, no in between

Lobb kicking 6 would be the most Dockery thing you could ever imagine.
Would probably go back to doing nothing for the rest of the year then
I'm expecting the Dogs to drop Lobb. I hope he plays. They will be better without him in.

I expect Brodie for Switta, Worner (controversial but reward for effort) in and Banfield Sub (did not contribute enough last week).

Unfortunately backup rucks can do absolutely nothing at AFL level and still get a game if there's noone else a team can swing into the ruck. Bruce being out for an extended period has secured Lobb's spot in the team

and yet he kept whining about not wanting to be a ruckman

Isn't that the truth. The early going will be crucial to him I reckon.

I don't think Cox is a good match-up for Naughton but I'd be tempted to start with that match-up and have Pearce on Lobb as an early stopper just to take him out of things early. Once he's out of the game he's unlikely to influence things and we can then even put Snuff on him from then. If he gets away early though he'll be dangerous.

Having said that, his best ever return is 4 so even if he goes bang he's not super damaging so maybe put Cox there to start and back Cox to outmark him and flatten him that way because even if he does get hold of Cox, we have Pearce to switch on him and he's unlikely to be too damaging anyway. Naughton is definitely someone who can take the game away from us so that could be the better move. Given Pearce's recent struggles early it's a coin toss. he was better in that respect last week which was pleasing to see.

more worried about which forward we line up on Caleb Daniel. From what I watch of the bullies most things start from their defense with him up back through to centre.

I think it was established on the threads this week that BB is not the defensive forward he is sometimes put up as with 1 tackle/game. I also don't want Walters or Shoota burning their goal kicking energies on him either. Would either like to see Freddie put constant pressure on him following a turnover/point, or for something different, bring in Ras for Switta (BB and Brodie swap for sub) and let the tackling machine loose on Caleb. Would be good as a ball winner around goals too.

JOM and LJ really have to step up and have an impact or we will be smashed in contested ball again. If so, Pearce and Cox will be under siege and it won’t be pretty.

Did Queens Park get automatic promotion because the new Football Stadium has been built there?
No, has been a shinking ship for so long. The only good thing about being relegated is the people have destroyed my club must go.
Hope they take 95% of the squad with them.
Shinking = sinking.
To think A long time ago I could spell and type correctly.

Daniel is playing midfield now

JJ after trying to play forward has returned to defense for Daniel's role

"boo the living s**t out of him"

Idgaf about the lobby thing but this is an interesting bit of information, basically rules out a defender sub

And we already know it's gonna be the same mix as last week

Which leaves us pondering which forward and which mid could get a role as the sub?

Don't really have any forwards knocking down the door, same could be said with midfielders but seems most likely to be one of noddy or Henry

Problem is they both haven't had any peel time since being dropped

I am not sure it will be the same - as he said they went into last game less one winger than normal and added an extra forward. He talked in the post game that he felt (as a consequence) that they weren't able to guard as much space against GC, so I reckon he has been flagging that he will return to adding another wingman, at the expense of a forward (probably Switkowski).

Henry did play with Peel last weekend, although his ball use was variable and he only had 17 disposals (albeit in a game where not many had massive possession numbers). O'Driscoll was held over (but was injured?).

Noddy was ill. It has been widely reported onTV and papers.
Noddy will come in.He was a real bonus for us last season.
