In: Salter, Hartlett, Carr, Brogan
Out: Chaplin(inj), Pearce(consistently bad), Stewart/Lower, Westhoff

There are lot's of player that need to be dropped but to be honest we have no players playing well enough in the SANFL to take their spots. These include Lower, Ebert and Burgoyne (not ready yet).

P.S I know these changes will never happen.

Sorry to intrude, just incredibly bored, but would including Carr be a step in the wrong direction? Salter played well in the SANFL according to reports, Hartlett is classy and you really missed Brogan, but is Carr part of PAFC's future?

**** the future until we are mathematically out of the run for finals.

Change of oil, good as new. ;)

Hartlett, carr, thomas? Not any players i'd say should come into the team. All 3 have injury concerns that would require a run in the SANFL.

The only obvious ins would be brogan and salter.

The outs are tough. Pity half the team can't be dropped.

Regarding Matt Thomas:

Drummond said:
Matt Thomas was very poor today, looked as rusty as I've ever seen him. So in saying that as an AFL listed player who probably managed to get up to 20 odd disposals he will probably find his way into the best players. Handballed mostly and I'd say half got his teammates into trouble and resulted in either holding the ball or a direct turnover. Supporters were starting to really get on his case because he was just so hesitant, took an eternity to dispose of the ball and when he did it wasn't pretty. Kicking was awful, so many floaters and as I said, by hand no better. A few very careless and reckless tackles too and gave away a few frees.

Was extremely quiet in the first half, improved in the second but a long way off I'd imagine.

Admittedly, I'm not up-to-date on how hartlett and thomas have been going.

I just assumed they got over their injuries and played sanfl this weekend and assumed they played how we would expect them to.

In:
Salter - forward who can run and tackle, plus stretches the Hawks' defence
Hartlett - brain at half back, and even though he's missed 2 months
Thomas - unsociable special, picking him on no form is better than picking Carr/Burgoyne/Meyer/Pearce/Krakouer on no form.
Brogan/Giles

Out:
Krakouer - been shit since round 7
Stewart - horrible today
Pearce - gone missing too many times, has only had 1 of his half decent efforts in the last 6
Lower - only if Chaplin, Chad, Carlile, Boak, Surjan, Hartlett all come up.

Ins if any of that lot don't come up:
Lower, Trengove, Burgoyne, Meyer, Carr, Banner

Lucky we have no other forwards under 190:
Ebert

I think there have been too many changes this year as it is and the team hasn't settled. They don't get enough time to train/play against and with each other.
Only if a player is injured should any changes be made.
Is there still a mathematical chance of making the 8?

Dreaming fellas.

After all, this is the week when we go to him 25 times, he actually doesn't double-grab a few times, still doesn't chase or give us anything on the defensive end but actually snags 2 majors in a front-running display Adam Saliba would be proud of = spot in the side assured for another month.

I haven't seen a single player so utterly poison a structure and 'gameplan' [sic] more than Ebo. It's harrowing.

We have too many predictable and one dimensional players. Having Motlop out is really hurting our forward line. We've all said it countless times but Ebert is a liability unless he marks the ball, which he seldom seems to do in the last few years, and Pearce is a liability if he gets tagged, which is now happening every week. We need more 'footballers' and far less 'specialists'. At least Broadbent showed a few glimpses today - his kicking on the run reminds me of S.Burgoyne which is heartening.

If we could somehow get a new coach in charge for this week, im confident the following changes would happen:

Out: Pearce, Ebert, Lade, Krakouer, Lower
In: Hartlett, Lobbe, Brogan, Trengrove, Salter

I've had a gutfull of watching Krakouer do nothing but stand in a zone - he is a mere seagull and spectator. Lower is not AFL standard, Lade is not the future, and Pearce and Ebert have been carried for long enough.
