If Jordy needed a rest, Brayden can have one too. Moore could do with a run in the 2's and Adams I will assume is still sore.
White must come back in if we are rewarding players off the back of their VFL performances. Despite the jungle drums beating all season, I like Jesse and prefer having him being pummeled in a ruck contest in favour of that happening to Darcy. You don't use a Ferrari for paddock bashing.
Would love to see Clokey come back in and my boy Jordy is a walk up start after the freshen up.
If Cloke is still unavailable, Karnezis can come in for a last roll of the dice at senior level before I write him off

Apologies to the mods for this potential thread derailment....
Presti's loyalty was commendable and a demonstration of the quality of the man, but far too much was made of it by the club. At Hawthorn it would have been kept in house, just another in a long line of team first sacrifices that their great success is built on. At Collingwood we hoist him into the stands to unfurl the flag and dedicate his number to the first picked player every year, even though that number belongs to one of our greatest champion. Too many of our players are lauded beyond what is accurate and it is one of the reasons why we win flags every 20 years.
Don't agree. Moore will be a better player than White no doubt but not at this point in time. Yes Moore competes well etc but his impact on games has been minimal bar one exception.
If White had put up Moore's past two goal free performances there would be screams for him to be sacked. Moore is the future, but he is not right now what some people are making out.

Totally agree. Let's not forget the following year Beams did the same thing, but because we lost wasn't applauded for it. And the act of 'dedicating it to the first drafted each year' - I don't get why the first drafted needs to understand the 'significance of the sacrifice' any more than any other draftee.
Let's throw 35 back into the mix, and throw 42 back into the mix as well - don't get me started on that ridiculous number retirement....
I would like to see Jesse White play as the 3rd tall alongside Cloke and Reid. That was the role he filled admirably for the Swans before coming to us and with the injuries to Reid he has had to play as the second tall which for the most part has seen him below par. I have confidence in him playing a big role for us next to the other two.
I think if we want out best chance of winning, the changes should probably be:

Out: Moore, Maynard
De Goey comes in if Adams doesn't pull up. Adams is a much needed player against Sydney though, but the 6 day break may go against him

"If" we are aiming to win then your changes are spot on.
"If" we are in development mode then just Cloke to come in and Moore plays the rest of the year in the Seniors......followed by Reserves Finals.

I don't like a lot of changes when we win. Cloke is an obvious in if fit. Most of the other potential ins were dropped for a reason and at a good side it should take a number of good VFL performances to earn your spot back. Most of the better players from the VFL win don't fit in our side IMO:
Witts - should only play 1 first ruck who isn't a forward;
White - just not good enough with hands and feet;
Kennedy - can't kick and we already have too many of those;
PK - not good enough at senior level to play well with any consistency - but I wouldn't be against giving him another chance if there is an injury (Adams?). I am also not sure we can play him along side Fasolo.;
Cox - Not ready
Just on Moore, I don't agree with the calls to drop him back. He competes and runs hard up the ground so he does contribute but more importantly we need to put as many games into him as quickly a possible and build him up in the next 2 off seasons so he can impact while Cloke is still a very good player.

Like it, Reid played well but IMO is still a better defender and will be in that position in our next flag tilt.
Can't play with the same structure for more than a couple of games. We need to give a chop out to Grundy in the ruck otherwise we will do to him what we did to Fraser.
Unfortunately at present that means White/Witts. I cringed seeing Moore in the ruck (see Fraser comment for reference).

I think Grundy is a different body type to Fraser and the centre bounce ruck rules have changed since Fraser's time as well. Moore is not someone I'd like to see do centre bounce rucking at this point not withstanding the changes to the rules. He's too valuable and too skinny. I am not against giving Grundy a rest though in which case I'd bring Witts in. More than happy to ruck with Witts but I don't want to see White play again. He will let us down for as long as he is on the list.

With Ted Richards in trouble at the tribunal and likely to get a week, we should try to stretch Sydney's defence.
Moore could do with a rest -playing him 2nd ruck as well as forward isn't sustainable this year with his light frame. Bring in Cloke and White. With Reid, Fasolo and Elliot -it looks a decent forwardline, probably our most potent for the year.
Hopefully Adams gets over his corkie in time, if not then De Goey can step in.

I agree he plays better as a sole ruckman, but he is also a kid and we don't want to burn him out josh Fraser style.
I think Jessie White is a good backup because he is athletic but Also has a big frame. He also knows the scg well so that should be factored in. I don't think any of our players have played on that ground before! Maybe swan in his earlier years, I'm not sure

The issue for me isn't Moore v White as to who is the better forward.
The issue for me is Moore v white as to who is the better forward/ruckman.
Cloke and Reid are our 2 best forwards. If we are comfortable using Moore as our backup ruck then so be it. But I don't think any of us really want to expose Moore to this long term.
So that leaves white ahead for me
