Man I'm done with this... I love this team from the bottom of my heart but for the first time in my life I feel like I don't even want to watch tomorrow. We are clearly under the delusion that we're in the hunt this year and that senior players will magically come good.

This ****-punch from the club does no favours to dissuade that belief...View attachment 381452

The "Unfortunately Partington wasn't name" honestly feels like they're taking the piss.....

Yeah they need to bring in that superstar mid they've been hiding away. He's the answer to everything!

Not looking for a superstar mid we don't have.
Just expected kids who deserves a shot like Partington to come in and at least show an attempt at fixing something that is broken clearly.
I mean Simpson goes on about our midfield losing each week but brings in talls and defenders.

It's not even that Fivey. It's playing the same one-dimensional players week in and week out like they'll suddenly add a new edge to their game.

Hill has done enough to justify his spot in the side over LeCras, yet he isn't named. Ridiculous.

Lamb and Parto might as well pack their bags and hit the road now, surely they're no chance of getting a game at West Coast.

Match committee:
Kennedy out and all other forwards out of form = bring in two defenders and swing our best defender forward (Gov).
Midfield playing like crap = keep our only in-form young mid (apart from Sheed) stuck at East Perth.

What wonderful selections by the MC. I can really see how the changes will enable us to have a new look forward line to change the problems of Darling and LeCras not bothering the scorers last game. My only hope is that we have a late out of Schofield or MacKenzie now that Blicavs is rested.

For those attending, we will be able to give Priddis a standing ovation when he jogs out in recognition of his loyalty in recommitting to the club at such a pivotal stage of the season despite the fact that clubs like Doggies and GWS must have been banging down the door. It will probably be the highlight of teh night.

Now I am looking forward to reading that Mark LeCras has been offered a 2 year extension in his tenure at the club.

Anyway, welcome back Tom Cole however next time, can you pick up a couple of mates with you when you come to play (you know where DV and Parto live).

Baffling selections... :drunk:
No Parto, Hill out rather than Lecca, 4 tall defenders despite having played with only 2 since 2015. Pretty much confirms that Gov will definitely play forward unlike the last game surely???
Good opportunity for Cole though.

No Mcinness either so thank God we wasted the rookie elevation we could've used on Watson.

You can only assume that there are competing factions in the club and each scores a victory here and there with their philosophies. Ivory tower dick pulling contests that result in zero external results.

Go through the place with a broom (seriously) or a handgun (not seriously)

Like Partington and who else?

I said before, Redden, Masten, Duggan, Jetta, Hutchings and even Sheed have been at East Perth at various times this season so it's not like there's been no midfield changes at all.

It'd be great to see Venables or Partington in there but Venables has been gradually building up fitness after no preseason and now he's injured. I don't know who else is going to come in and make a difference.

Which means all this angst is basically because Partington hasn't been picked. And the vast majority of people complaining have probably seen him play once on the telly.

Obviously the match committee thinks we're still in premiership mode and there's not much we have to change to start winning?

Bold ploy, very interested to see if it pays off this weekend.

The Emac still in the team thing is bizarre also.. maybe him or Barrass to play forward? Or Gov, like we all dreamt would happen once it was about 3qt at the 2015 GF? "When McKenzie comes back we can throw Gov forward and be unstoppable.."

I didn't think EMac played that badly last game either, just not amazing.

Maybe I've just stopped giving a ****

It's not the fact that we think Partington is the answer to our midfield prayers. It is the fact that we are sick of the same ****ing shit with our senior players and want something done about it. You've been here long enough to figure that out, havent you?

Can only assume Lecca was still sore and was rushed in too quick against the Suns to help cover for JK... Can't see another reason we'd keep him in ahead of Hill.

Also, I suppose we want more mature bodies up against the Selwoods and Danger. But damn would've been the perfect chance to blood Parto - big game, home crowd.
