This is what I'd do, put Boyd in the middle for a lot of the game. We have enough cover down back with Suckling, Biggs, Wood and JJ (maybe even an Adock or Webb as well). That are Stringer spends much more time there, either way I think we need more contested grunt in the middle this week.

All little blokes up against Brown, Petrie and probably Daw...we saw how easy it was for Geelong's big dudes

Really hoping Clay and Koby can have big games this week to cover for Libba. Koby can be a contested beast when hes on and we all know what an animal Clay is. Have Bont, Dahl and Clay attend a center bounce together and I think we win it.

Huh? But Matty Boyd is a little bloke too. I meant taking him from half back we could still cover his run with the guys mentioned.

I would be playing Morris, Roberts, Hamling/Cordy to take their talls.

I just jumped onto this thread hoping that there was actual match discussion given our board is all about the Bont. Funnily enough, this thread is only about our thread being about the Bont.

Best of luck this week. Really admire the attitude of the current doggies side. Most other sides would've well and truly dropped their bundle by now given the injuries.

Both teams have a shocking injury list.. But hopefully it's a cracking game and a little more free flowing than our last contest.

What match?

With Boyds history with calf niggles I can't see him coming back this week. Unsure about Suckling but can't see them risking him and I don't believe 1 week for a Hammy is enough for Morris so have discounted them all coming in.

Out Libba, Macrae, Jong
In Minson, Rat , Webb

Smith and Stevens will need to do some more on ball work. The Rat uses the ball well and Webb has knocked the door down so even though I think we need Jong's grunt someone had to make way.

Hamling can go down back and Roughy an extra down back. If we ahead then allows Roughy to push forward now and then. Big Will will need to work his azzz off around the ground and follow Goldy everywhere. He's never been an attacking option really so negate Goldy and work him over.

I'm really, really hoping Webb can transition his VFL form. For a bloke who's dominated the VFL all year picking up 30+ touches it's been a bit disappointing that he's only ever had 10 kicks in a match once, and that was in the second of the 12 games he's played in his career so far.

We just have to cut off Petrie and brown down back.
Nervous about how our forwards will go against their backs but if Toyd plays as well as he did on Friday night that will go some way to us getting the points.
Also, I know hamling copped a huge wad of crap on here but we have to acknowledge that was was able to take a defender away from Toyd and stringer. I liked our fwd 50 set up with him/cordy up there. Worth persisting with imo
Spot on

It brought Dickson into the game too and he had one of his better halves of footy for the year

If Smith and Stringer were able to finish, particularly in the third quarter then who knows, we could've pushed them the whole way, they had their chances but didn't bury them
