Honestly, we could lose 3/4 of our team and I'd still give us a good shot against Norf. The 6 other finals teams would rather player a fully fit Norf than a half fit Dogs.

If you want to read anything on the Norf board, read these delicious threads:

I read the 12 wins thread. Some gold comments in there. The expectation of some Norf supporters is ridiculous. Saw a couple saying they will smash us this week then the Hawks next. What an utter joke

We just have to cut off Petrie and brown down back.
Nervous about how our forwards will go against their backs but if Toyd plays as well as he did on Friday night that will go some way to us getting the points.
Also, I know hamling copped a huge wad of crap on here but we have to acknowledge that was was able to take a defender away from Toyd and stringer. I liked our fwd 50 set up with him/cordy up there. Worth persisting with imo

Oh and of course he could have held some of those marks but at least he gave a contest which didn't allow as many intercept marks from the usual suspects in the Geelong backline.

Not worried about their tall forward, more worried about the midfield battle minus Libba, Wallis and Macrae.

Wonder if it would be worth chucking Boyd in the middle for extended periods.
Matthew Boyd won't play.

I'm worried about their tall forwards, they are decent

Not sure if anyone caught it amongst the other rubbish in that thread but the think dumont can stop the Bont. Like he is even near the Bonts league

Well of course they think Dumont can stop Bont. Maybe he can.

Stopping another player has absolutely nothing to do with how good you are compared to the other. I love Picken, but Harvey is a better player. Didn't stop Picken destroying Harvey.

Has that been confirmed?? From what I've heard he is more likely to play than not.

Their forwards are handy but nothing special, for some reason Daw and Brown don't strike fear into me.

I'm just going off on Bevs conference. Seemed like Morris was the only likely back

Id love to see Stringer played predominantly midfield for the next few weeks. He's giving us almost nothing forward, we're locked in to finals and can't make top 4, so lets give it a whirl. Might get him going, and give us a better idea of how he can handle it in case we want to employ it again down the track.

Who does Cordy go to this week?
The question is who goes to Cordy. He looked good enough up forward that it's worth seeing if he can keep contributing up there.

Quite like the idea especially with all our outs. And Zaine in a swing man role (looked OK forward from the few glimpses I saw).

hahahah

Outs:
Libba
Macrae
Stringer
Hamling

Ins:
Webb
Hvorat
Morris
Minson

Stringer doesn't play this week - clearly carrying the shoulder injury to the point he couldn't lift it after the game.
The filthiest players in the comp Firrito and Thompson sure to give it a workout and I'm just not sure we risk it.
Because of this minson will be required. Allowing roughhead to rest as a backman should we need and leaving Boyd as a permanent fwd.
Bevo all about flexibility - although Will has his limitations and is not flexible in himself, his selection this week makes the side more flexible

Wonder if we bring in Minson so Roughie can provide some support down back?

North has had a better forward line than us in recent memory and us the better midfield.

Ironically, with Petrie cooked, and Higgins, Wood and Waite out, their forward line looks way less potent, although Im not ruling out them brining in Daw and him kicking 5 goals.

On the other hand, Libba, Wallis and Macrae hurts our midfield a lot. Dal will be better for the run, but Stevens, Jong and Smith is a fair step down in class. If those guys play to the best of their ability, we can beat North because if we break even in the midfield I just cant see them kicking much of a score with that forward line against a good team.

Fair enough. He said Sunday he was more likely to play than not and Gia said on Friday he should play as we didn't want to risk him last week coming off a 6 day break.

EDIT: Just as I post this the injury report comes in.

Sounds like both Boyd and Suckling will play as well as Morris

Macrae injury sounds bad but Libba looks like he will play again this season.
