Not sure. As long as Hamling goes out. He was abysmal last night. Hopefully Cordy stays

It may be worth holding Suckling and Boyd out for another week? Let them rest a bit more coming into the finalsI'd go.
Out: Libba, Macrae, Hamling, Jong
In: Hrovat, Webb, Maclean, Morris.
Obviously this would change if Suckling or Boyd get up. The injured guys had to come out and Rat and Webby were by far our best at vfl, Moz has to come back and Hamling was soul crushing, Jong improved from actively hurting our team last week to being a complete nonentity this week but it's not enough for mine and Maclean takes his rightful place in the seniors.
Think I'd also play Cordy forward and swing him back if necessary.
Don't think we can afford to rest fit players. We still need to win games. It may be worth holding Suckling and Boyd out for another week? Let them rest a bit more coming into the finals

My reading of what Bev said last night in his presser is that both Boyd and Suckling won't be fit and are more likely to be weeks than a week.Don't think we can afford to rest fit players. We still need to win games.
Hence why I left them out of my team.My reading of what Bev said last night in his presser is that both Boyd and Suckling won't be fit and are more likely to be weeks than a week.
Don't want to play the first final interstate. Would rather give 5th or 6th a shot.Let's see how the North v Saints game pans out. If North wins it means we only need to win one of our last four to play finals OR Saints lose one of theirs.
I'm leaning towards resting and managing players over the final four matches pending tonight's result.
The bye between round 23 & finals could be a blessing for us as it means week one of the finals is six weeks away meaning Libba should return then.
I'm not so suer, my reading was that when he was asked if they would be back he thought about it... so 50/50, then he was asked were they possible to play against the cats and he sad flat out no, they were ruled out wed. So i think it is an each way bet, one of them may come good, they were no chance for this week, but not so certain for next.My reading of what Bev said last night in his presser is that both Boyd and Suckling won't be fit and are more likely to be weeks than a week.
He's many things to many people ol' BevI'm not so suer, my reading was that when he was asked if they would be back he thought about it... so 50/50, then he was asked were they possible to play against the cats and he sad flat out no, they were ruled out wed. i'd say 50/50. but thats my take.
North 5th vs Dogs 8th would be ideal. As would Eagles vs Crows (6 v 7). Please Jesus, bless us with small favour.....thou Lordy.Don't want to play the first final interstate. Would rather give 5th or 6th a shot.
I'd consider Minson in this week (I haven't really all year but Roughy's getting physically punished and looking after him a bit is a consideration). Hamling out, keep Cordy and he and Roughy can float as required. More time for Boyd in the forward line with Cordy (mostly) an able foil for both he and Stringer. Webb and Hrovat in, Libba and Macrae injured. We have two certain outs this week (Libba, Macrae) and who knows which other player is struggling. There have been suggestions that JJ and Roughy are labouring with injuries/soreness. Also the way things are going we'll probably cop another injury at training.
So to make selection guessing much easier try looking at it this way. Assuming Morris comes off the injury list this week but nobody else, these are the blokes we could consider bringing in (in jumper order):
Hrovat
McLean
Hamilton
Minson
Dale
Collins
Morris [IN]
If you want to elevate a rookie you could also add:
Lynch
R.Smith
That is all.
I'd do a straight swap Morris for Adcock if Morris is fit. Adcock played alright last night but is probably just keeping Moz's seat warm. That leaves Rat and Webb for Libba and Macrae.I'd be happy to bring Will in to allow Boyd and Rough to play more time forward or in Roughs case perhaps back. I think Hammers comes out. Webb perhaps an in but for who I'm not sure.
In: Rat, Minson, Morris
Out Liber, Hammer, Macca,
I'd go.
Out: Libba, Macrae, Hamling, Jong
In: Hrovat, Webb, Maclean, Morris.

Think Honeychurch might be injured unfortunately. In total agreement... it's about time there was reward for effort for Hrovat and Webb. Honey has to come into consideration at some point too. If we're keeping Jong in to add value then it's not working...
