Jong does NOT Deserve to be dropped. Honey played well. Goodes played ok and would be the only one to come in

On hrovat, I'm honestly yet to see why he deserves a game this year as yet? Will he honestly offer more than Goodes?

I don't think there will be any changes this week

We saw how important players with speed are for our team and all our quick players JJ, Jong, Stringer, Grant all excelled last night and these players all contributed to breaking the lines and kicking goals. How many times were these players involved in scoring chains during the game, nearly all of them.

Maybe goodes comes out but he did some really good things last night. Good times that all our young players played great in the 2's too. Excellent weekend for our football club.

I'll be surprised if Jong is dropped any time soon. That game was intense and he looked comfortable. Nobody's saying he's the messiah.

Honeychurch will start again. He had a big impact despite his recorded disposal efficiency, and his defensive work was awesome. Goodes was okay in the clinches too.

I want to make room for Hrovat, but anyone coming out will be unlucky, Redpath aside - and he'll get another game, for structure's sake.

You blokes can think what you want but if u opened both eyes and looked past the jumper you would see he is simply inept at the important parts of being an AFL player.

If he continues to play we will go nowhere he isn't good enough and won't evey be and don't abuse me because I think that

The same issues I have with him stood out like dogs balls last nite and they won't change imo

If they do you can all have your crack and enjoy it

PS I see no one commenting against people saying the greatest footballer in history Hrovat should be included when he has done f$ck all to deserve a spot pre season and has hardly played

But coz he is the chosen one let's all get him in WOW

You are so full of shit that your eyes are brown. You pop up when he's not doing well but then as soon as he starts doing well you disappear. Just like when you were gloating about Goodes not being upgraded, when he get's upgraded you're unsighted for a week.

Plus you're literally the only person who is anti-Hrovat, even people in the media bring him up as one of our best prospects. So what do you see that people paid to write about the AFL don't see?

I actually agree with you about Jong's skills, MD. He definitely has a way to go. But his skills are better than Honeychurch's in my book. And I think they're around the same level as Dahl's. Not that I'm saying he's as good as Dahl at the moment. But just saying that I think his skills are becoming less of a liability. And they are moving in the right direction. I also like that he plays within his limitations - you are right about his kicks bouncing. Which is why I think he tends to kick to advantage instead of trying to spot up precision passes. I think that's a positive move, and have confidence in him tightening up in that area too. But hey, we can agree to disagree.

As for Hrovat, I presume people are calling for him to come in because he played well in the VFL praccie match this week. As opposed to Biggs who didn't play at all.

Watched the Richmond game, their forward dynamic was a
little different. Hamling could be a good match up for Jack
Reiwoldt seeing he has shed the kilos. The Griffiths match up
is difficult as he may be a little mobile for Roughead, but at
200 cm he may be the only option. Carlton controlled the
Richmond guns in Martin, Deledio and Cotchin and yet the
Tigers still found a way through their improved depth. Who
ever we select will have to slow up Richmond's transition
players.

He just conveniently ignores that Hrovat was in the best couple in the reserves..

Who cares what MD thinks about Jong. We know he's not going to change his mind, despite how Jong plays. Can we not focus on his opinion the entire thread please?

Only change I'd possibly make would be Goodes for Hrovat. Honeychurch doesn't deserve to be dropped.

Redpath was poor indeed, looked more like a bush footballer than an AFL standard player. All pre-season I have been so impressed with him and wanted him to succeed but one more performance like that and it could be a long year at VFL for him. Depending on matchups against Richmond, I would probably give him another chance.
Honeychurch was a real livewire and earned his spot yesterday. I'm not sure how long he can keep out the likes of Hrovat, Hunter or Daniel with such poor disposal.
Can't see any need for much change yet.
Were you at the game? Or just watching on tv? Redpath was the only bloke I sww actually going for the grab in the packs. Boyd was just plain slow and got out positioned multiple times. Redpath got first hands to the ball in paxk situations atleast 4/5 times inside 50. If he held them he's got 3/4 goals and probably most influential forward

No I dont

He has had in interrupted pre season and there are players in front of him at the moment or already bein given a chance

Hrovat may get his crack but to drop someone just to get him in is not the way it should happen

Yet you suggest to bring in Biggs who hasn't played in a month coming off an injury, WOW, lol, FACT

Lol I'm always here and Goodes showed last nite how much he deserves a spot .... Zero

And the same media people everyone here has abused for their negativity to us your now growing in my face? Hahaha

And there are many many people who don't rate Hrovat just look at the gun or not thread

But thanks for playing

But we should bring in Biggs who has not just had an interrupted preseason, he is literally unavailable. You are un ****ing belieable. Why don't you go comment on the very very good win we just had?

I agree somewhat with MD, Jong was nowhere near as good as most people are making out. He struggles when he finds himself in space and is still panicking when he gets the ball. However he's improving slowly and his kicking is getting a little better every time I see him. He a long, long way off IMO, but in our current climate we need to persevere with him as a) he has a crack b) he's quick and c) he's a decent size and is quite strong. He might get there.

I'd be bringing Hrovat in for Honeychurch, honey is still making simple errors and I feel Hrovat is ahead of him irrespective.

Loved Redpaths game apart from taking the grand he got too

Lead well, was in right spots, good pressure just didn't hold the grabs

It will come just needs time

Isn't this the changes for next week thread?

Did I make a single negative comment about game or win others than Jong and Goodes?

Was rapt in the win and most of the players but again thanks for putting words in my mouth

I realise what thread this is mate I'm saying why don't you go celebrate and talk about the great win we had like the rest of us rather than coming straight in here to sink the boots into someone who played very well. Its a joke. If youre not doing this just to get a reaction you must be the most miserable bloke on the planet.

Well, yes I was at the game. Unfortunately, a player's contribution is usually judged on their results rather than their intent. What we saw from Jack IMO was way short of anything we saw during the preseason and if the key forward can't mark even the ones he is in clear position to mark, then his performance is not up to scratch. On the night, Jack was poor, but like I stated before I'm not ready to right him off, he has the potential to be much better and should be given more opportunity.

I have MD on ignore, so I'll just pass over what I assume is happening.

Hrovat to come in for mine. Not sure who for. Maybe for Honey, although I thought Honey was pretty good. I rate Hrovat as best 22 every week though.
