I wonder how often a draftee gets to the club he supported as a kid only to find out the place is run like a stinking pile of shit... Even worse if you requested a trade there and it pans out that way because you actually had control over that situation.

Junior coaches must surely help potential draftees go through a bit of "de-fanning" process through their last couple of years at school to make them more agnostic about which club picks them up in the draft. It's not ideal for someone to make hugely important professional decisions or subconsciously interview better/worse based on the team they decided to support when they were 7.

Like the vast majority of posters on here, I often think about what the person on the other end of the keyboard is like.

Even with some of the more messed up characters like Snakey/Teff my curiosity piques... It actually piques more with those sorts of characters than the more regular posters who are probably just like most people who have a wife/gf/bf/husband, maybe they go to uni or maybe a job with a couple of kids and a dog and most probably like a few beers on a weekend...

But with Joondi I just can't even begin to go there. I should feel bad because he obviously has some mental health issues, but he is often a dick to people as well so I just think at least I don't have to live with that 24/7.
