Split the pick. Get Warner next year.

*unless FOS is available with our pick. Then we have a decision to make.
Nope. Either throw the pick at Sydney this year for Warner or take a mid.

I think today shows we will end up second or third last, pick 2 or 3. I don't want to split this.

From here on anyone here suggesting we split our first rounder this year gets an uppercut. We need the highest gun midfield available. Full stop.

If O’Sullivan isn’t there at 3 I think splitting is smart if you can get the Suns and Dogs first and IF one of Jagga, Moraes or Draper will be there.

Warner and Sydney will not break his contract. You can split the pick and still end up with one of the top half dozen mids in the draft. We traded Sheezel for Ginbey and Hewett.

And yes, we will have pick 3 unless the Tigers play like this for the rest of the year.

Richmond off to a flyer against the Cats, and they’ll only get healthier to close the year.

Looks like Pick 2 is back on the menu?

Richmond are going to have to win at least 3 games to get past us, and that’s assuming we don’t win any more games for the rest of the season including two games vs the Shinbeggars. Odds on for pick 3, but wouldn’t mind pick 2 as long as we’re seeing development.

Wouldn't put it past us to grab pick 1 again

Pick 1 will be off the table when Oscar gets back in form ..

There's not a lot of season left TBH.

He's gonna want an instant impact.

We don't know if it help or hinder Waterman

It’s assuming pick 3 for pick 8 and 9. I’d trade Jagga for Moraes and Travaglia in a heartbeat. FOS and Smillie are the two stand out mids for me, then Ashcroft then Jagga, Draper, Moraes, Lombard are the next tier but absolutely would not call any of them middling.

U18 champs will soon make the above statement seem reasonable or unreasonable.

Or laughable. Especially with respect to Moraes.

What happens when Moreas is selected at pick 6?

Someone please go on to the Lions board and do a search on Oscar Allen. I don't want to be the one to post it here.

Just looked through your post history and I must be blind. I can find your top 3 though.

Edit found it. You had Moraes at 6.
I’ve got Smillie, Ashcroft, FOS, Jagga, Draper, Trainor and Lombard ahead of him. The post you’re referring to was mids only I believe. Whitlocks, Shanahan, Faull and O’Farrell will push too.

Why. So then someone replies about how Lions want Oscar and then you can chime in pretending you didn’t bring it up in the first place?

An Oscar trade doesn’t make any sense for us at all. He’s contracted and a free agent next year. If he left next year he’s likely generate a pick around 4-5.

So it would have to be considerably more than that to get done, and Lions don’t really have anything or anyone we want.

Most of your players are either old or slow, or both.

Pick 6 + F1 + extras likely wouldn’t get it done.

It’s a moot talking point.
