Article on AFL.com.au about Body Majik training AFL players while in WA. At the end of the article it says he isn't training any eagles players except for Winder (delisted). Says he is set to rejoin us.

"Darcy and Jackson are part of a large Fremantle cohort that Majda trains, with delisted West Coast forward Isiah Winder, who is set to re-join the club as a rookie for 2023, jumping onboard this off-season as the only Eagle."

The purples can go with a fitness influencer, my hope is that we sign a guy like Corey Green (West Perth S+C), guys a gun!

To be fair, if you've just been cut and your only hope of a second chance is showing you have the fitness, skills and determination to make it, you might want to give that drinking holiday a miss, just this once.

Yeah why would you put in a bit extra when others maybe doing nothing, especially when you are already carrying weight and been cut and looking for a second chance. No wonder our fitness levels are so good.

Those brayshaws are idiots working hard on Xmas day, what are they hoping to achieve on a holiday.

It's pretty simple in 2023 though.

Go to Tiktok, click on the "trending" button, watch the video then read a couple comments.
This is the oldest someone's sounded on this board in a while, and Keys posts here.

The unflappable Hurn will add to his record 320 games for the Eagles after completing the formality of reaching agreement with the club.
A truly excellent description from Stocks of how they handle the over 30s tbh.

So that means we're down to 4 picks in the main draft?
Five - 8,12,20,26,78 plus picks 2,20 in the rookie draft if we choose to use them

We have 35 players with a contract for 2023 or beyond which includes 2 rookies (West and Culley)

As it stands we only have 8 players contracted beyond 2024.

Barrass has a contract to 2027, whilst Allen, Chesser, Bazzo, Hunt, Cole, Sheed and Kelly have contracts to 2025

So 80% of our list will be coming out of contract in 2023 or 2024.

Gives us a lot of flexibility to shape the list as we rebuild and plenty of players needing to prove themselves to earn new contracts

With 1 of those rookie selections (20) potentially getting used on Winder.
According to Schmooksy it is

Not really fussed if we throw him a lifeline provided we use him as a mid

The bigger question now is do we use the 5th pick in the draft or leave it open for a SSP signing after the draft.

It also depends on whether someone bids on Dewar in the main draft (assuming we have actually listed him as a NGA)

Except for the fact that for every re-rookieing in the past decade (Venables, McInnes, Colledge, Waterman, Tunbridge, Newman) we’ve taken live picks first and left those players until last.

I love debunking “that’s such a west coast thing to do” myths in these threads. Keep up the good work

Winder definitely ended the year as a mid for the Beagles, which signals some intent for that. Whether he is likely to make it in that role is another question naturally but I suspect the club has a similar view on his future

Yep, success is not compulsory

Except for the fact that it’s not a re-rookieing in this case - they’re delisted.

What's the difference? They were all delisted then redrafted as rookies.
Other than Venables, wasn’t that just them being on the rookie list for too long and needing to be refreshed, as opposed to be delisted straight off the main list?

You might be right, but I feel like there’s been enough cases of the WC recruiters prioritising securing who they want over how they could have gotten best value out of their available picks

Nope. All of them were delisted from the senior list and redrafted as rookies.
