I’m sure the great man will confirm if he’s one of the ones listed. Unless there’s an official eagles release on the matter it might also be a case of the Giss just getting the wording wrong and it might not be a sacking, if it’s WCE_phil given he’s been very clear for a while that this was his last go around

They are hiding him on a HBF because they don't where else to put him.

If he turns out to be a great player i will admit i am wrong but thats my view.

Even WCE Phil, who is hardly a glass is half empty kind of guy with our players and is better informed about these things than any of us, said shortly after he was drafted that the best we could hope for was a career trajectory similar to Scott Selwood. I think that is a disappointing return for a top 10 pick.
This is my kind of gloomy thinking😍😍

But he hopefully will be a poor-mans Dangerfield in the midfield. Who cares about kicking when you're an inside midfielder.
We haven't seen it yet but he is strong and quick and has a fend off. From all reports is an animal on the track- he just needs to show that hunger to shitmix his opponents.

IMO was always going to be a 20 disposal max type of mid but will also work defensively. Yeo clone

Dusty is only one example. One example doesn't void the pattern.

When Gawn was appointed captain, Tracc was too young.

Selwood
Danger
Fyfe
Cripps
Buckley
Hird
Voss
Pavlich
Kelly
Reiwoldt
Carey

Let me know if you want me to name more.

I can go on and on and on. Generally, the best player is often the best leader. Generally, most clubs will install the best player as leader.
By crickey you dribble some sh1t. You go back 20 plus years and come up with 11 examples. Even then, you include toxic captains like Fyfe and Carey. My only assumption is that you work for Collective Minds. If not, you probably should look into it. Your philosophy seems to be a perfect fit.

Jordan de Gooey is the best player at Collingwood. Not captain.
Jeremy Cameron is the best player at Geelong. Not captain.
Jeremy McGovern is the best player at West Coast. Not captain.
Isaac Heeney is the best player at the Swans. Not captain.

I could add heaps of players in the last 5 years
I said generally.

Danger, along with Selwood was Geelong's best player for close to a decade.
Gawn was the best player at the time. Tracc and Oliver were too young.
Pendlebury could be the Pies best ever player. Was captain for a decade. Daicos is too young, but he will get the captaincy.
Mills was probably the Swans best player at the time.
Norf are in transition. There's no one available. LDU probably doesn't have the leadership chops, so they're waiting for Sheezel.
Steele was easily Saints best when appointed captain.
Touk Miller was easily the Suns best when appointed captain
Sicily also was the best player
OA also best player
Fyfe was the best player for a long time

What on Earth are you talking about? I never said the best player always had to be captain. I also never said that as soon as that player is no longer the best player, you swap him out for the best player. And I never said if your best player is 21, throw him the armband.
Full of sh1t

Go back to Creative Minds with your view of leadership

for more educated minds regarding 2025 draft, Banfield and Walley look to be certain targets for WC if their next season continues.
Who outside Rodriguez & Curtin in WA would be considered a target for WC?
Who is a must draft for WC needs nationally?
List needs imo being more elite ball users in midfield and KDEF?
We need an accumulator that uses the ball well, a key defender and a ruck

totally agree with all of your assessment.
Who would you have front of mind for all those positions?
My first round thoughts are, Rodriguez looks to be an elite accumulator mid, inside and outside player, Curtin KDEF.
A 204cm+ ruck ready to play, 24yo at least, L Reidy from FRE looks a really good option imo.
Don't have much idea nationally except seems to be general top 10 many people are discussing, 2025 draft looks like several KP players and lots of Academy players, would be interested in any thoughts or knowledge of the type of players you describe?
