No, Ben WAS one.
It's three years since he was at the peak of his game. I asked you this in the last thread you brought up this ludicrous idea and you dodged the question, so I'll ask you again;
Exactly how many players have made successful AFL comebacks after deliberately isolating themselves from all things football for more than a year?
You seem to know, why don't you tell me? Cousins won WCE a premiership 18 months ago. He is a brownlow medal winner. He is fit and puts more into his training than 99% of players, this much is known. Comparing cousins to other crabs isn't worthwhile.
We aren't TRADING for cousins, if we were I'd also say no. We are getting a quality player, cheap as. If he turns into a crab for us, I don't care, it is worth the risk. Read that again, worth the RISK. To understand that you need to know what we are risking. A pick in the PSD. Not pick #3 in the ND.
Yeah - only a list spot on an overpaid, washed up junkie who'll more than likely prove to be as useful as Jarrad Schofield.
Granted it may turn sour. But it is worth the risk. I'd rather have Ben Cousins filling a slot in our team that we don't use compared to Browne, Webster, M Carr, MacManus, etc, who are all useless to us and have been for a while. Least Cousins will be a recent addition if he does turn into a crab.
