Feel a bit for Browne Dog. That's a whole lot of emergency listings for him this year.

Browne will get his turn, a bad showing my one of our senior players here and I think he will be getting a call up. With the Ant's having the bye this week he wont get to prove himself worthy of getting a game, he also didn't play last weekend did he? As he was traveled to the GC?.

That's very frustrating for me ...
Only one change from an embarrassing loss to Freakmantle, frankly Steven Browne should been elevated ahead of Mitch Robinson ..

I see Jordan Russell survives again after another sub-standard performance and furthering the 'conpiracy' that he has info/photos on the MC ... A player at Tassie or Geelong would have been dropped for sure if he put in the dreadful performance Rusty did at the gold coast.

Don't get me wrong, we will win, and by a considerable margain, but frankly I think the Match Committee has been out of form for a month now (and the results on the scoreboard show that)

I still think we should have brought in Fishy as well.

good change...on browne, he will come in if AJ or army have a significant drop in form. Otherwise doesnt look a spot. Good problem for the moment

stfu celtic geez.

Where is this ignore button gilly raves about?

l think to be fair to Celtic Pride, he has reasonable justification for questioning as to why there is only one change in a team that was sub-standard last week.

l suggest our attack still looks average and Fisher should have been given a opportunity and l would suggest Waite would have to play forward as there are little other options up there.

You continue to perform woefully on here and yet you're still around.

Pot Kettle Black ....

Why only one change to a team that got belted in the first three weeks of the season, and plus the final margain in the end flattered us, we deserved to lose by 3-4 goals ...

Steven Browne is a decent player whose work rate is first rate, and should have been given a game, I'm sorry if your in love with Jordan Russell, but frankly how he keeps getting games astounds me, esp after that effort up in the Gold Coast.

I reckon if the pies had of been at full strengthwe would have seen Fish,Harts and Hoops back in....we have depth which is great we just need as to close 100% consistancy as possible all the time....Heat is on Wiggo this week...play average and Fish will surely take his spot.

Carna bluebaggers :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Finally! they have realised CLOKE CAN'T PLAY! OMG they're f***ing slow! Next for Wiggins. Then Russell, he can only half play, has youth on his side for now...

Browne is unlucky, would rather see him in instead of either Wiggins or Russell. To me this is a no brainer but I don't pick the sides.

Fisher is a little unlucky but I feel he needs to do more.

Fantastic to see Yarran, Robbo and Austin in.

Oh gee, now we are entering into an 'popularity' contest, frankly I really couldn't care less about how I'm 'perceived' on BF, I am aware I'm not the most popular guy around here, but it sounds like you have an 'insecurity' complex ..

And btw those Comments about JR were written slightly tongue in cheek ..
Can't you actually understand 'satire' Jezza ?
And I would argue most, not all other posters on this board would have wanted Jordan Russell dropped, at one point or another, so don't give feed me enough more of that crap that you are speaking for the 'silent majority' of Carlton fans ...

And btw, I never once proclaimed that I was more insightful or intelligent then the Match Committee, I just think they have made a few errors in judgement in the past month or so (IE not playing Browne, and not making enough or the correct changes after certain losses)
I beg your pardon for simply venturing an opinion, your another one of those 'sanctimonous' type fans who refuses to actually to debate 'criticisms' of certain players.

And btw I would hardly say telling someone to #$%# is 'very adult' like behaviour now is it ??

lol This is hilarious listenin to some of ur crap with jezza. Yes browny is unlucky, but not at one stage should he have definitely been picked. When Army came in it would always make his job harder to get a spot. While Jospeh and Army are playing well I don't think he will get a game. I think he should... He should be in instead of Robinson i personally think but yeah what can ya do... He will get his chance at sometime and hopefully hold his spot like he did last year.

Waite would be a certainty to play forward IMO. Given the lack of quality tall Collingwood have up forward, play him accross HF, and give us another marking option up there to support Fev.

Would like to see Austin given another chance up forward as well. Moved pretty last week vs Fremantle.

I love how everyone uses the same old line "If the MC thinks he should be in there then they know more than you", that is crap. The MC in my personal opinion and a lot of other quite knowledgeable Carlton supporters feel that the MC is continually getting the selections wrong this year. Im not about to laud a MC on the back of a 3 wins 4 losses season thus far(And i don't care that all our losses have been close).

Looking at this week only, we have dropped our regular CHF and replaced him with another medium sized player (I'm in favour of cloke being dropped, however Fisher had to play)
Our forward line looks terrribly weak this week Fev and IF Waite plays there are our only real marking options inside 50. (Wiggins is a lead up player, Hampson can't mark to save his life, and Kreuzer doesn't spend nowhere near as much time as he should up forward).

Houlihan was one of our most creative players in the first few weeks of the season and will offer more than Yarran (You think Houla's defensive pressure is bad Yarran gives up after one chase, and i dare anybody to challenge me on that)

Russell should have paved the way for Browne this week as i have personally been impressed with Browne's games in the 2's and feel Russell isn't up to it to continually keep his spot in the side (Drop him to the Ants and see if he can dominate a game for once) We also wouldn't lose any defensive aspect from the side with this change.

The MC continually overlooks playing their best 22 and it is starting to worry me, it's all well and good talking about how much depth we have when looking at the players in the 2's, however if your not winning more games than you lose it doesn't really count for much.

Browne perhaps is still a little rusty after the injury but good WA boy must get a call up soon. The issues with Hoops may be on several levels on and off the field.

Cloke out was a good move, but without a tall replacement our forwardline looks short. I guess Kruezer, Hampson, Waite and Austin will rotate through that KP forward post. Reckon Eddie and Yarran will cause the Pies defense real headaches. Most of their defenders are slow, lumbering types. The only small defender they have is Clarke, and he's not exactly quick. The Pies just don't have ultra-quick defenders on their list like Joseph or Armfield. Collingwood's list seems to get worse each year somehow. :)

How many goals do you think Fev will kick on 'Hopeless' O'Brien ??? The last 5 or 6 times we've played the Pies, Fev has always kicked a minimum of 7 goals on HOB and that woeful backline (which is vastly overrated btw) of the Pies :D

Really only one of Wiggins or Fisher should be in the side IMO - we knew yesterday the change would not be this week, yet you would think it is imminent.

Our forward line looks terrribly weak this week Fev and IF Waite plays there are our only real marking options inside 50.

When you look at the performance of our forwardline last week, and then consider that Cloke has been dropped for Robbo, I think there can be no doubt as to where Waite will start.

Fev & Waite, together with Betts and Yarran is actually a pretty strong forwardline considering our midfield should again provide plenty of delivery and goals themselves, with two very good marking options.

Brown actually played a key role in the Pies last 2 capitulations. His turning circle is half the width of the MCG, something Fev and Waite took advantage of. I hope he plays in defence again. :)
