Since the conversation has moved to scoring, here's some context:
  • 2021: Fremantle 1578 points points for in 22 matches
  • 2022 so far: Fremantle 1579 points for in 20 matches.

Yes, scoring is the biggest issue facing the club and almost certainly isn't high enough to win a premiership with, however it's a great step in the right direction this season.

They were very well drilled and organised yesterday. Everyone seemed to know their role and what was expected of them. Took advantage of a poor Bulldogs effort with a very even contribution across the team. If they get a final in Perth they will be hard to beat.

So that's 14 straight games under 100 points

Other than the 111 we scored 5 games ago?

100 is a bit of an arbitrary number anyway - 5 of the remaining 13 we've scored in the 90's. We do seem to have an aversion to raising the bat, but it's not like we're maxing out at 10 goals on our good days.

Don't know how anyone can doubt Longmuir, easily the most exciting Freo team I've seen. Genuine flag threat
All the ingredients are there other than a functional forward line .
If Freo had goal kicking midfielders to compensate I wouldn’t be quite so concerned but they don’t unfortunately .
Teams like Geelong and Melbourne who can squeeze hard in defence but still hit the scoreboard through multiple avenues will be hard to beat if Freo come up against them .

If Longmuire can go deep into finals with the cattle that he has got to work with he should be coach of the year IMHO .

Agree, cattle is limited. But so was Richmond’s and they won flags with chaos ball and pressure. Still short of a standout midfielder and a forward. Tabs can’t be persisted with next year you’d think?
They should go in for Naughton over Jackson, not that it’s likely/ possible.

I’m pretty excited by Jackson TBH ( was with Hogan as well and look how that turned out 🙄)
Luke seems like a pretty dynamic weapon to have in the arsenal .
So many potential positives for the team for years to come if he held and applies himself.

The dark horse of the 2022 season, may yet do a Bulldogs 2016 run and topple the heavy hitters to reign supreme!
Nope.... We don't have magical powers or umpires on our side.

Sure as hell have Jim Cornette or Vince Russo or Dutch Mantel or Kevin Dunn or Kevin Nash on our side lol
