What differentiates Henry from a good WAFL player?
His skills need to be elite unless he can fins another string to his bow.

Probably play MJ in his role, with his disposal numbers, and he ll do better.

Henry tries too hard to pull off the amazing option that he wastes time and tries the safe option, which by that time it’s already covered.

I think the free kick count was 10-0 in your favour for the entire 3rd quarter. The umps did nothing; we can't help the fact your men got injured when they did. That's pure bad luck. But any footy team has a job to do, would you have expected any different from your own mob had the roles been reversed..?! Proper salty lips you've got there...

No "flag in Round 3 celebrating". Now you're just being a lickle bit petty there....tsk tsk. If you read any of the board from the more balanced perspective of posters (a rare thing I know..) you'd see how much we saw this game as an opportunity to launch us forward IF we could win (cheers) - one game at a time as the ole cliche goes, wins like this are enjoyable (mucho grassy-ass cheers!!), but count for naught if we can't back them up.

Ah yes.... But if it was Freo crippled with injuries in the derby and eagles won, then it's LoL Freo are bad.

You eagles supporters had no issues sinking the boots on Freo back in 2016 when they were 0-10, ended up with 4 wins and 18 losses and crippled with Injuries. LoL

He’s on the improve.

We are too hasty to judge players moving teams. I always give them at least 5 games to monitor their body of work is going. After 5 weeks, the performance should be on the up curve. Remember the new recruit have to get familiarity with a new game plan.

After some time to think:

40 plus point win. Great for percentage and getting goals into the players.
Amiss - will be a gun.
Johnson - classy, fast enough and great size.
Walters
Switta
Jackson building form. His movement and pace at his size will be a weapon for years.
Darcy building some marking form.

Henry - Is he quick or evasive? Is there any proof of it? He was better in the tackle today but everything else got worse. Needs to be dropped.
3rd quarter. Need better leadership.
Pearce - the best KPD's in the league have clean hands and are good by foot. Pearce is neither. We need him to build form at least into the stopper beast he usually is.
Tabs - did some good things but is carrying a back/hammy issue that seems to be restricting his kicking and stretching. He does draw a good defender and I am not sure we can go with Treacy and amiss without tabs.
Chappy - injury is bad but form is average. I don't think our backline makeup is right. Clarke and Chappy need to be used on the wing or chappy to the midfield. His size could be a weapon and currently we don't use him enough coming out of the D50 to get him into the game.

Yeah I’m willing to give him more time but it looks like he might be fighting for a spot with Brodie and/or Fyfe so he can’t be complacent

Oddly enough it was the best game I've seen him play when the ball wasn't in his hand.

It's good that he's improved in that area but that's not what he's in the team for, especially when Hughes is already a defensive winger.

I thought we changed our game style from attacking to chippy chip around the backline at half time.

At the beginning of the third quarter there was a lot of negative sideways ball movement from us rather than the more forward looking ball movement of the first two quarters.

Better ball movement again in the final quarter.

One quarter. And we all acknowledge that was a terrible quarter.
