He still cannot kick ... like him but look at the games he has played in the AFL. 6 in the WAFL, nice but so what, against the Eagles depleted WAFL team? No point bringing others players up, that's not what I was responding to. Happen to agree with you re the others. He kicked 6 last week in the WAFL.
He'll be dropped for Darcy but there were others in the fwd line like Sturt, Fred and Walters that contributed nothing with a lot more experience.
The conditions at the ground were perfect today.Hey guys Hawks supporter - excuse the intrusion I know it's always a bit sensitive after a loss.
I know you guys don't see it as much but I thought you were super impressive today, you controlled large portions of the game, moved the ball well and seriously out marked us (very frustrating).
Apart from getting touched up by Geelong at their postage stamp sized ground that's the most trouble we've had for 2 months, somehow we found a way though.
FWIW I don't reckon you guys should have to travel to Tassie either. Tassie games are always 'a bit s*it' (exposed ground etc) so take that into account when you're analyzing the game.
Typical Hawthorn fans, love to play victim. The conditions at the ground were perfect today.
Clear blue sky and hardly any wind.
Hawthorn supporters at the game thought that they were ripped off by the umpires as usual.
They most likely nail 90% of them at training. It's a different thing in a game with pressure though. All the forwards with the exception of Treacy need to have a full day of goal
Kicking practice and should not be allowed to go home until they nail 10 in a row from all angles each.
Voss has kicked 20 goals in his last 5 WAFL games. It's not just against a depleted WC team. Just infuriating that he can't convert at AFL level. He gets plenty of shots a game too. Averging 3 shots a game from his 4 AFL games. Same amount as Treacy. He still cannot kick ... like him but look at the games he has played in the AFL. 6 in the WAFL, nice but so what, against the Eagles depleted WAFL team? We are getting *ED by these 11:45am WST games too. Can the afl * off with this shit house fixturing.
If not Reidy, it should be Knobel then. Though bean pole, would have enough reach to bring it to ground.Disappointing. Was hoping we would kick on and have a real tilt this year but just don't think we're there yet. Missed 4 easy ish shots in the 2nd quarter and that's probably where we lost it. Got smashed in the 4th. Top 4 from here is tough. Most likely need to win every game or could get lucky going 5-1 if other results go our way. The coaches obviously don't think Reidy is up to it is why he doesn't play but I don't like seeing Treacy rucking. Forward line suffers when he's not down there.
I didn't realise this. 3.10 from 4 games. If he's kicked 6.7 even as a 21 year old he's shown more than enough. I don't think he's an awful kick, so I'd punt 3.10 isn't a long term trend.Voss has kicked 20 goals in his last 5 WAFL games. It's not just against a depleted WC team. Shit call by the management then, pretty sure we WA teams are the only ones that have to play games with the body clock in the AM.We asked for it so we can fly back into Perth at a decent time. Afternoon games we fly back in late at night which is crap for recovery.
He's playing with a ****ed knee. Look at the strapping on it. I agree he shouldn't be out there right now.Sturt had a solid block of games and then not much last week and today was just nowhere.
Feel like he may be dropped.
He’s so hard to get a read on. 2 weeks ago we were all hoping we offer him an extension. Now?

Why don’t we ask to like…not have to fly to Tassie???We asked for it so we can fly back into Perth at a decent time. Afternoon games we fly back in late at night which is crap for recovery.
Yeah fair, I don't think it's just Hawthorn supporters thats think they get ripped off by the umps, pretty sure that's universal. I think most of the angst centres around the HTB interpretation which has turned into a lottery. The conditions at the ground were perfect today.

Are we better off resting him and looking at putting another small crumber-type? I know we have no real ready x-factor smalls in the sheds, but can Cooper play that role? He's playing with a ****ed knee. Look at the strapping on it. I agree he shouldn't be out there right now.
It's all mental. Not worried about Jye long term but his goal kicking has been deflating this year. Aside from the Swans game at SCG. Thought he was back after that one but the yips crept back in.The practice is so the routine is down pat that it’s automatic when the pressure is on.
I also wonder - how often do they do save-the-game and win-the-game scenarios in training? It just feels like we haven’t really learned from our close losses and still keep making the same costly mistakes late.
Finally, I really don’t know what we need to do about Jye. I’m giving Voss a pass as it’s his 3rd game at the 1sts but Jye’s yips are just killing us this year.
Probably did but AFL said get f'd.Why don’t we ask to like…not have to fly to Tassie???
