So as it stands 4 senior spots and 2 rookie (or 2 senior 4 rookie) open.

12 50 59 60 70.
12 live 50 and 59 maybe required to match Brownless, any residual points plus 60 for last 2 picks.
Then 2 rookies.
Menzel and Murdoch still OOC.
I'd like us to nab Idun with a late pick.

59+60 will get the Brownless deal done, easily IMO. That values a bid around Pick 43 or higher, which is about fair for Brownless.

So whats the go with Menzel and Murdoch? They can obvious go to other clubs freely, but when does that close?

Both can delist themselves and go to the draft soon or if we delist them at the 1st list lodgement they become DFA and can go direct to a new club.

Overall a decent period.
May not have gained a lot but didn't lose a best 22 player.
Cleaned out some baggage and hopefully develop a few of our young crop next year whilst also picking up a couple more good young kids in this draft.

Who with 12?

Depends who is available live trading will shake it up watch Adelaide trade up (or try to). I'd love King but unlikely. My thoughts are maybe Jordan Clark, possibly Butters, I don't mind XOH either but its a tad early for him. Ian Hill is a great fit for our needs if the Freo connection wasn't so strong. Give me some class and ball use. The other point is we might bid 12 on Thomas/Scott North Melb have 5 40s picks so if we force them to match (if we think they will) it will bring our 50s picks in a fair way.

The thought of adding more late picks hardly raises my anticipation. 12 then 50 ... yet we have managed to bring in Dahlhous and Rohan. The clubs mind seems still set firm on contention... Have we have missed an opportunity to add more players in a good draft? Of course if we can find another couple of henrys then great no issue...

Who with 12?

probably someone we have not talked about much...like Stocker

POS: Midfielder
Ht 183cm, Wt 83kg, DOB 23/1/00
From Sandringham Dragons/Vic Metro
September ranking: 20

The Sandringham Dragon's stocks rose as the year went on, as he returned from a broken jaw to play some very strong footy towards the end of the season. The hard-working, strong-bodied and ball-finding midfielder won the Morrish Medal as the best player in the TAC Cup for his efforts. He kicks the ball well on both feet, is tough and mature and has the mindset to be playing AFL footy next year. Missed the Combine with a shoulder injury that he played with late in the season.

Happy we keep Kelly but I'd like us to get a pick lower. Is Brownless really going before pick 50? Can we bundle up 3 of those picks for a pick in the late 30's or 40 pre draft

12, 40 and Brownless seems a lot better outcome.

With a fair few late picks to be chewed up through bids for top-end talent like Blakey, West, Quaynor, Thomas etc., 50 may very well turn into 40 by the end.

Really like the look of Clark. Smart ball user, quick, good leg. He’s my first pick I think for 12.

Shame we couldn’t get a deal done for a pick in the top 10/11. Two quality pick ups this year would be great.

Probably TC. Haven’t seen much of Stocker. Will be interesting to see what Wells does.

WB picks 27 and 32 Syd (26 33 38 39 40) Nth Melb (42 47 48 49 55 58) Coll (41 44 51 57) and possibly even some of the GWS late picks will disappear on academy picks so our late picks could come in 10-15 spots on draft night. Ideally 50 59 60 and 70 become 35 44 45 and 55 and 35 is a live pick and the other three match Brownless with maybe a late pick left.
